Easy homemade dog food for $.35 lb that is healthier than what you are buying at the pet store.
Recipe:
10 lbs leg quarters
10 cups rice
3 large carrots
3 potatoes
1 can green beans
1 can peas
Pinch of Mineral salt (I like Himalayan pink)
Water

My “baby” was always shaped like a baby hippo but no one could really figure out what his problem was. A few months ago he dropped weight so fast that we just woke up one day and noticed his ribs showing (no decrease in appetite-loves food) After much testing he is diabetic and has Cushing’s disease. 6 months later we are still trying to get his meds straightened out and he is on prescription dog food (very expensive). His dog food still has so many ingredients that we can’t pronounce – for a pig like he always was he eats less and doesn’t seem to like the food that much. He is 12 pounds now (skin and bones) from his 26 pounds he carried most of his life (he’s a chihuahua mix). Thank you for this video – going to start making his food, he is 12 now and still seems happy most of the time. I know his time is limited and he might as well enjoy what he is eating and maybe this will help him get a little muscle back on him.

My French bulldog was getting out of control she is allergic to everything prolly even dogs lol, her belly was smelling like corn ships the scratching was so bad tried so many kibble nothing worked. Got her all cleared up with antibiotics and seasonal allergy shots, but 2 days after making her food myself I could see her improving so much yes she will still scratching because she was scabbed from the kibble and allergies…. Plus I will admit it I was giving her a bit of my food here and there an in season heavy and I know that’s horrible now .. so not only has it helped so much but she feels like every meal is a treat after all I could eat it myself… Def would not eat kibble lol
