Orovet is hands down the BEST. I also give my dog the Ark Naturals because it helps keep her regular.

Mint oils are toxic to dogs, so I stopped using these because of these and starches and synthetic ingredients

  6. @Missaesthetics on December 17, 2024 at 4:33 pm

My dog has poor teeth can you recommend a softer dental chew?

  7. @gpalmerify on December 17, 2024 at 4:34 pm

I have a rescued feral Pitty who lived for the first 8 months of his life on his own. We noticed him eating grass and digging up roots. As he is very hard to feed (never ate the recommended daily amount of kibble) usually eating 1/2 the amount. Tried feeding him various fresh veggies without success. I found "Minties" which is the only dog chew I can find with actual chlorophyll from mint and alfalfa. He loves these and I suspect it prompts him to drink water (he’s dehydrated and got a severe infection) now, we add chicken Jerky and Jerky/sweet potato treats. We suspect "Buddy" survived the widespread flooding from Hurricane Harvey. Which possibly causes him to be averse to water. I’m looking into wet dog food options to bolster his moisture/nutrient intake.

This was so helpful. Thanks! My dogs dental hygiene has gotten so much better with these tips! And I’ve been in the struggle for awhile 😅 thank you!

  19. @MedTechMetal on December 17, 2024 at 4:50 pm

Lol. Your degree is absolutely a waste. Complex carbohydrates do not damage the teeth after they convert to simple sugars in the digestive tract. And a single year per day is not going to have a massive influence on their body weight if you are giving your dog a proper diet.

Natural says nothing about how healthy something is. Grapes are natural, will kill a dog. Stop with the chemophobia.

This is not a scientific or factual approach. This is fear mongering and misinformation.

  20. @mamabear9389 on December 17, 2024 at 4:54 pm

The VOHC label tells me it is crap and to avoid it.

  21. @elle2313 on December 17, 2024 at 4:54 pm

I just found your video but wowww I can’t believe you’d recommend Yak Chews, they’re absolutely horrible for dog’s teeth. They’re extremely hard and have read tons of bad reviews on dog’s losing their teeth and needing expensive dental work due to it.

  22. @13salinaspride on December 17, 2024 at 4:55 pm

    Thank you

  30. @1physics on December 17, 2024 at 5:06 pm

    1. Carbs wont convert to sugar in the mouth enough to increase plaque or encourage decay.
    2. E numbers are mostly not synthetic. They are just a way of keeping track of additives. Vitamins have E numbers as do natural colours.
    3. Mostly the daily dosage of nutrients required for dogs (and humans but we’ve already established you’re not a dietician) are measured in mg. That means without starchy carbs, these treats would either be a powder or almost microscopic and gone in one bite. You know vitamin c tablets are 99% sugar right? And paracetamol are 99% filler? Of course you don’t….

I’ve really been trying to transition raw meat to my dogs diet but his 💩 has just been so soft mushy boogers slimey and gross! Idk if it’s going to work but I’m still trying been giving him about 1/4 of half cooked meat and I’m seeing improvements just been a loooong process

I’m switching up Today Thanks So Much Not Good Enough for My Baby…..I’ve Notice She’s having problems digesting it When I See Her Poop…..This Yorkie is My Whole Life🥰

  41. @southernbelladonna78 on December 17, 2024 at 5:23 pm

My dog actually swallowed a Greenie chew bone and it didn’t digest in her stomach at all! Had to have it surgically removed amd when they removed it, the bones was basically the same as wegenyshe swallowed it two days prior to the surgery. It was hard as a rock. 😢

  42. @joys4524 on December 17, 2024 at 5:23 pm

I have a 10 month old, 4 lb., tiny toy poodle who has a gentle mouth that is too small to brush her teeth. She already is developing tartar! She loves to chew bully bits that I have sourced locally but I think they are coated with something and smoked (no label). I would like to find small chews but have no idea what to give her instead. Any help would be appreciated. We are in Canada. Thank you.

  43. @puttnyepp1 on December 17, 2024 at 5:23 pm

I enjoyed watching your video, but my dog will try to attack if I try to brush his teeth. Will the dental treat solve my problem??

  44. @kto-totam2876 on December 17, 2024 at 5:24 pm

How often do you brush your dog’s teeth?

  45. @1Sparkmeister on December 17, 2024 at 5:24 pm

Duck necks?! It’s not necessary to kill ducks to sell their necks for dog dental treats.

  46. @Emma-be6mo on December 17, 2024 at 5:25 pm

Could you recommend any good dental cat treats?

  47. @davewilson6313 on December 17, 2024 at 5:26 pm

"Pet parents." Our society is in a freefall

  48. @LapDogOfDoom on December 17, 2024 at 5:26 pm

My rescue dogs absolute fave dental chews… raw carrots 😂 my 20 yr old however prefers fish skin & rabbit ears. The making a mess part is his favorite. He’s so old he gets whatever he wants these days. But I think he gets a kick out of me picking up all the scales and hair after

  49. @ElbaReyes-mr6wd on December 17, 2024 at 5:27 pm

Thanks Rachel, any water additive for dogs teeth. My dog kind of used to let me brush his teeth but now runs. I offer treats etc but he still runs

  50. @CherryWendy-es6lb on December 17, 2024 at 5:28 pm

I have a 7 yo YorkiePoo (11 lbs) and have always given her Bully Stick to chew on – nothing else (!) because of the fact that they ARE natural! As natural as they are, they are BAD for dogs teeth! My dog ended up fracturing a molar and a premolar overtime from chewing on them! Vet said they see a lot of fractured teeth in dogs from chewing Bully Sticks! While some dogs probably go on with their lives not having any issues chewing on them, most pet parents aren’t even aware that their dogs may have fractured a tooth or two! Dental issues on dogs are NOT easy to detect because dogs STILL eat regardless of the pain. (Even with a broken jaw, a dog will STILL eat), so pet parents will assume there’s no dental issues because their dog is still eating and chews on things. My dog had abcess where the fractured teeth were and we had no idea how long she had them BECAUSE she continued to eat and chew! Not too sure about the other recommendations, but Bully Stick in my book is a No No! They should ban those!
