I do freezedried salmon and minnows. My cat loves them!
I don’t give my cat any treats. I praise her and pet her for her good behavior. She’s a wonderful older shelter kitty that I adopted. I talk to her all day long as she follows me around.

We don’t give treats in my house. My kitties walk away from them. It’s so funny to see. We just give them extra love and attention and will occasionally just give them the same dry food we normally feed them, but that has to be in a dish. 😂❤

I have 3 cats with different likes. One loves duck jerky for dogs while another prefers temptations on a chair so he can knock them off 1 at a time to eat. The third likes the tube treats.
Nutri-Bites. I have two bags of freeze dried salmon and one of chicken. I also love Tiki Cat sticks and I and Love and You Treat Meow sticks. Both are pureed meat/fish with broth and my Lulu loves them.

I try to stick with treats as a reward for appropriate behavior. My first cat responded well to simple training using treats, and so any time she would do the appropriate task or demonstrate the proper command, she knew she got a treat. My kids used to try to give them to her extra but we had to limit them, as I read the nutrition labels I decided I didn’t care for the ingredients at all. Some companies even use meat "dead from natural causes" and now am afraid to use most brands. I get a premium cat food, different from the mealtime feedings and use it for treats instead, because its better for them and less empty calories. I’m going to have to try these out, its been awhile and my kitties deserve a little something different!
Hi Jackson what would your suggestion be on a cat that has the fear oral problems and has very little teeth. What kind of treats would you recommend for her I got her as a stray and she has severe oral issues. And it is so hard to find food and treats that she is capable of eating and will love.

The freeze-dried treats always have a lot of crumbs at the bottom, so to avoid wasting food, I sprinkled some on top of my cats’ wet food on a whim. Now, they both expect me to always "season" their wet food.😅
They’re also fiends for Tiki Stix. Splitting a tube between 2 lick mats every morning means I have a very effective alarm every day.

You can’t train cats, but they can train you. Also have never seen police cats.

For treats, I do like those freeze dried mwats- but I like to sprinkle em on top of their food dish to encourage them to eat real food
It’s interesting. I really don’t remember our cats getting many treats growing up. Good food for sure, and tons and tons of love, but treats weren’t a big thing when I was a kid. It was mostly small pieces of plain chicken type stuff.

My cats will not eat treats, not even churu
At this stage, I’m not giving treats for any reason. My kitten, now eight months old, is such a maniac that she lunges at the tree before I can even give it to her lol. The Foster used churu a lot, and I know it’s very popular, but I found that this was the cause of her messed up. Poops. Every time I would give her some she would go back to having loose stools so I eliminated the churu and she goes back to normal. She doesn’t need treats. She’s well fed too well fed lol and gets lots of love and has lots of toys to play with.
I didn’t know about freeze dry meat.
I give my kit cat dried sardines. They are pure sardines nothing is added. They are a great treat and they make a perfect toy he can pounce on and chase and eat.
I recently discovered freeze-dried baby quails, and my 2 torties absolutely love them. That of course goes along with minnows and chicken hearts.
Cats love treats but do not give them it as their everyday food cause then you’ll have a confused cat on your hands lol my cousin did that and it was a disaster
