  2. @rxz8432 on May 9, 2025 at 11:00 am

ok, what’s the best approach? 1/4 ts twice daily, 7d on, 7off and 7 on again, or 1/4 ts daily for a month? Also, can I use this as preventative care ?

  3. @kamillelord3891 on May 9, 2025 at 11:01 am

What do you think of ground pumpkin seeds as a de-wormer for dogs?

  4. @debbieshomes6984 on May 9, 2025 at 11:03 am

You put it in their food for cats & dogs to eat? Not on their own coats?

  5. @mrod222 on May 9, 2025 at 11:03 am

My vet suggested not to use this on my car because he has a history of crystals in his urine and has been blocked before. Is there something else that can be given to cats to get rid of roundworms and hookwormers?

    Praying for our Northern Friends!!šŸ™

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Residents heeded warnings to evacuate the capital of Canada’s Northwest Territories as a wildfire burned toward the city of 20,000, while firefighters on Friday battled a growing fire that set homes ablaze in a city in British Columbia.
Thousands of people in Yellowknife drove hundreds of kilometers (miles) to safety, with authorities guiding motorists through fire zones, or waited in long lines lines for emergency flights as the worst fire season on record in Canada showed no signs of easing.
Airtankers flew missions overnight to keep the only route out of Yellowknife open. Meanwhile, a network of fire guards, sprinklers and water cannons was being established to try to protect the city from the fire, which had moved to within 15 kilometers (9 miles).
ā€œWe’ve still got some really difficult days ahead. There’s no denying that," said Fire information officer Mike Westwick. He said winds from the north and northwest predicted for Friday and Saturday could "push the fires in directions we don’t want them to go.ā€
Gas stations that still had fuel were open Friday morning, though the city was virtually empty, with one grocery store, a pharmacy and a bar still open.
ā€œIt’s kind of like having a pint at the end of the world,ā€ said Kieron Testart, who went door-to-door in the nearby First Nation communities of Dettah and NDilo to check on people. Indigenous communities have been hit hard by the wildfires, which threaten important cultural activities such as hunting, fishing and gathering native plants.
Hundreds of kilometers (miles) south of Yellowknife, homes were burning in West Kelowna, British Columbia, a city of about 38,000, after a wildfire grew ā€œexponentially worseā€ than expected overnight, the fire chief said.
Residents had already been ordered to evacuate 2,600 properties, while another 4,800 properties were on evacuation alert. The BC Wildfire Service said the fire grew six times larger overnight and it stretches over 68 square kilometers (26 square miles).
Some first responders became trapped rescuing people who failed to evacuate, said Jason Brolund, chief of the West Kelowna fire department, who said residents face another ā€œscary night.ā€ There was no known loss of life.
In Yellowknife, northwest winds combined with minimal rain were complicating efforts to slow the fire — one of hundreds raging in the territories — which could reach the city limits by the weekend, emergency officials said. There was a chance of limited rain on Friday, but officials said it likely wouldn’t be enough to stop the fire.

But does it kill tapeworms too? I notice a lot that kills roundworms won’t kill tapeworms

  10. @rudestlittlesoundwave642 on May 9, 2025 at 11:10 am

    This is fantastic!!!

  11. @KHX274 on May 9, 2025 at 11:11 am

    Use ā€œfood gradeā€ diatomaceous earth!

And it can (I’ve heard) cause g.i. Upset, so just be observant when giving it to your babies to make sure they do well with it ā¤ļø

  12. @sunrae7680 on May 9, 2025 at 11:13 am

If you put it in your garden, it will kill bees, butterflies and the good bugs also.

  13. @hbg8683 on May 9, 2025 at 11:13 am

Can we can take this for parasites?
Does Ivermectin kill round worms, parasites other than heartworms, we give it to dogs monthly here in South Louisiana where mosquitoes are bad. I hope you can reply ASAP. There are a few stray kittens I’ve been taking care of outside my house in Florida. Just a few days ago one started a cough-like symptom with a sound of fluid. I think it might be heart worms. Is there a holistic approach for this. I don’t have a lot of money, but I don’t want to see this kitten suddenly die. šŸ˜”

  15. @johncameron4194 on May 9, 2025 at 11:15 am

Do you have anything for heart worm ?

  16. @deelynx3254 on May 9, 2025 at 11:18 am

I absolutely love all your videos and it’s really helping me with a lot of issues that I do have with my dogs that are sensitive to food allergies and environmental allergies I do have a kind of off topic question I took my dog to a vet today because he has been keeping his mouth open and his his saliva is very sticky and I can’t help but wonder if he got stung by a wasp it almost looks like his bottom jaw is like paralyzed in a sense where he can’t get water lick up water like his tongue is doing odd things it took him to the vet and the vet gave him a shot of steroids and antibiotic that hasn’t have done anything for him he’s really having trouble swallowing it’s like his bottom lip is stuck to his jaw like to his gums it’s really weird and I’m really concerned because I went to the vet and he didn’t alleviate any of my concerns today I’m just wondering about your opinion

  17. @Kat-n-Ollie on May 9, 2025 at 11:18 am

Thank you. There are many benefits to eating this and even soaking in it in a tub.

Hi Doctor. Does DE work for feline TF??? At my wits end 🄹

  20. @tammyharder7488 on May 9, 2025 at 11:25 am

How do you take it carefully I have asthma ? How do you give it to the dog?

  21. @nicolewaterhouse1933 on May 9, 2025 at 11:25 am

I love your channel to bits, however DE is poison ā˜ ļø and toxic to animals and humans. Thank god I never used it on my dog, I stopped using it on my horses and chickens when I learnt more about it

  22. @d.eanna_93 on May 9, 2025 at 11:27 am

Hey doc, what about brewers yeast?

  23. @AgnesMariaL on May 9, 2025 at 11:28 am

Have you tested the effectiveness of DE with fecal exams before and after? Because in my experience, it is 100% ineffective once wet, and upon ingestion DE gets wet! For external parasites such as mites, lice and fleas – or garden/household invaders such as ants and earwigs, it is definitely effective!!! Until it rains, or the night lays dew. But worms don’t have exoskeletons, and DE is benign when wet, hence why it’s sold as a nutritional supplement for silica.

Wormwood – artemesia absinthium, on the other hand, is proven throughout history and I use that for internal parasites with great success, even on cocci in artificially incubated chicks when they go outdoors and get it.

  24. @Laly7 on May 9, 2025 at 11:29 am

Would this also help prevent parasites? Awesome video! Thank you!

  25. @dianahall8069 on May 9, 2025 at 11:29 am

sprinkle a tiny bit on my dog and his food as a preventative. Maybe coincidence, but fleas have been few this season.

  26. @lolamartin6342 on May 9, 2025 at 11:33 am

Wow, I did not know that there was a food grade.
    Thank you !

  27. @butterflylady8875 on May 9, 2025 at 11:34 am

Will this also kill off any larva in the intestines?

  28. @Goldthecat on May 9, 2025 at 11:35 am

Food grade diatomaceous earth is awesome, I sprinkle it on the ground in front + backyard for ticks too. Sometimes around the house after I vacuum.

  29. @debbysimon120 on May 9, 2025 at 11:35 am

I have a pet RACCOON can I give this diatomaceous earth to him?

  30. @pearl2910 on May 9, 2025 at 11:36 am

Wish I could find this here šŸ„ŗšŸ‡¬šŸ‡§

  31. @shelbeeray on May 9, 2025 at 11:37 am

Now, I’ve repeatedly read that this can cause silicosis if breathed in. It is microscopic silicates, that under a microscope, looks like sharp, jagged glass. I’m a lapidary so I have to be cautious and wear masks even when working wet. Is it really safe to ingest?

I’ve seen others recommending it to put on beds, the carpeting, ground, even on the fur or feathers of animals in order to control fleas or ticks… it works on soft-tissue critters because it slices them up. How is it safe for the soft tissues in the mout/digestive system or lungs of our animals?

  32. @allkmini on May 9, 2025 at 11:40 am

Can i mix d.e. with fresh goat milk?
Before dog’s meals 2-3 hours, is it better to take d.e., with empty stomach ?

  33. @six87urnext on May 9, 2025 at 11:40 am

    😁

  34. @hatshepsut9760 on May 9, 2025 at 11:41 am

You’re so good, more amazing tips BTW you’re still brilliant!!!

  35. @anapadilla7133 on May 9, 2025 at 11:43 am

How much should I give for preventative ? My dog doesn’t have worms, but is this ok to give to prevent? If yes, what’s the dosage?

  36. @michellesmith9394 on May 9, 2025 at 11:44 am

My pit has tapeworms .. I have tried this for quite some time but it’s not working … What else can I do? I have 10 pets ..I prob should treat them.all at this point.

  37. @sherrylgoins4351 on May 9, 2025 at 11:45 am

    Where to find food grade?

  38. @dinaannnirenstein87 on May 9, 2025 at 11:46 am

What should one do if inadvertently, sloppily ā€œkissedā€ by an energetic dog jumping up to ā€œgreetā€?

  39. @Mistylynn442 on May 9, 2025 at 11:46 am

So how much would I give a 50 pound dog?

  40. @jerseydebil on May 9, 2025 at 11:50 am

Just wish there were more holistic vets like you. I have found none near me in southern NJ

  41. @teeniequeenie8369 on May 9, 2025 at 11:52 am

Why do we need to lay off it for a while? Something to do with the life cycle of the worms?

  42. @amberperez9643 on May 9, 2025 at 11:52 am

I agree I used it on my cats and it worked really good šŸ‘

  43. @peggymazzell2506 on May 9, 2025 at 11:52 am

Please help with ideas… it appears my cat has not urinated or deficatted in Over 17 hours..maybe longer…she has drank and eaten adequately ….. she was very sick 2 months ago..throwing up —-dehydrated no urine or poop. I gave homeapathic meds… and stayed up with it day/night. She almost didn’t make it..since than I have added a few drops of colloidal silver to her water…and have had no problems… I also found a thrown up hair ball…with grass.. so I gave her Olive Oil (small) with syringe down the throat…
Could you let me know when the
lack of urinating needs to be of concern..? Is there something that can force her to urinate?

  44. @Truther567 on May 9, 2025 at 11:54 am

Dies this take care of all worms like heart worms also?

  45. @Furtheluvofthepaw on May 9, 2025 at 11:55 am

    What’s your dose? For you

  46. @devorahrose782 on May 9, 2025 at 11:57 am

Also its terrible on the lings to breathe in the dust! I put it out for fleas but i put outdoor rug or thrift store carpet over the top just to keep it from billiwing. Its very dehydrating to the mucosa ( eyes nose mouth throat) and can cause bloidy nose dry eyes a sense of constant thirst. So use some caution. I put it in wet cat and dog food only

  47. @laurathedino10987 on May 9, 2025 at 11:59 am

    Does it work for whipworm?
