I recently watched one of Dr. Jones videos about itchy and inflamed skin treatment. He recommended using Bee propolis. I bought some and within 4 days my dog’s skin is greatly improved and the itching is almost gone. Thank you Dr. Jones.

Is Gravol the same as Dramamine? We don’t have Gravol in the states that I have ever seen.

Our dogs got hit by a sting ray. Left a big gash on his legs. No vet nearby. We gave him CBD oil and sowed it up. Also because he is Young and energetic we gave him CBD oil twice A day for a week to keep him calm and he healed up just fine. No limp. We were very lucky that it was a small ray and didn’t hit a tendon.

Would you make a video explaining why a cat may not retract a single, or a random few claws? It’s not overgrown. It seems to be bothersome when I touch it compared to any of the "healthy" retracting claws. The quic looks a bit red under there as well and the surrounding area, the nail bed or the cuticle so to speak, seems almost healed around the nail. The closest thing I can explain is like a human nail where the cuticle meets.
    PLEASE HELP MY GIRL 😢

In regards to chamomile tea bags: what do you mean by dose your pet? I have read some people let their dog drink it and some people spray it on their dog?

And you can also get German chamomile ( Matricaria recutita) essential oil that dogs can smell? Chamomile oil is renowned for its calming and sedative effects.

  10. @Saoirse.n.Murphy on June 9, 2025 at 1:12 pm

Thank you! Yeah, Murphy had a rough night a couple weeks ago and ended up at doctor’s the following morning. To try and keep him calm enough to rest more than 10 seconds… I used a 1/2 tab of Benedryl every 4 hours (35 lbs.) He was struggling. Expression done that morning. I did not know and he had just been to the groomer, so I thought no issues there. Well, now we are careful to include enough fiber in his diet. I was ill that week. My fault. Tried a some kibble this week and he had thick tears, so no more. What do you think about adding a half daily dose of GLANDEX? Thank you. I already give Murphy a tablespoon of pumpkin daily, but the Glindex has pumpkin in it too. I am thinking a half tab daily.

My dog starts trembling when a storm is coming, she seems to sense it. Nothing has happened yet but she is shaking away. So I need something that will calm immediately. What are your thoughts on this problem? She is the best of travelers so long as no thunderstorms. We live in Florida, that says it all…..thank you for great videos.

  25. @FranciscaAVior on June 9, 2025 at 1:33 pm

God bless you. We the poor love our pets as much as those who are rich. I have gone to the vet with a dog who would not see my dog unless I could pay up front. I had gone to her before with other dogs and always paid her. I had even maxed a credit card to take care of one of this dog. But now he was dying and suffering and needed to be euthanized. I had no money. I phoned ahead of time. It was a Wednesday. I said I had no money but I would get my small pension three days later on a Saturday. No deal. I had to watch my sweet best friend die slowly, suffering at home. I’m down to my last dog. I had a scare because she was coughing and because of that new disease I panicked and rushed her to the vet. I did not have an appointment. I just wanted to wait and see if the vet could just between appointments just give her a Quick Look. The receptionist staff would not even relay the message to the vet. Another customer there just sarcastically snapped at me “well, if you don’t love your dog, I’ll take her.” This made me very angry and hurt. I yelled “you do t know f**k about me or my dog”. They called the police on me. Later on I had to pay a $200+ fine for “disturbing the peace”. No one came to my help. No one had any compassion. If you find yourself poor you are no more than dirt to this society. I’m so depressed. I thank God my little 11 year old dog survived. I’m 71 years old and in poor health. I have debts. I have a mortgage. I’d sell this dump I live in but anywhere else I would go would cost me more than my mortgage now. My house had had repairs I had to fix or else that cost money. Have you ever not been able to buy a prescription you need because you don’t have the money and had to wait for your next social security check to get it? Have you ever had to use a credit card to buy food? I decided to go to church as the apostle Paulbsaid to not stop meeting together. I “joined” a church and got baptized. A few months later they mail me a bunch of tithing envelopes. Are these bills? I tried to save to put some money in them. There was one envelope for every Sunday. But I had to buy food and taxes are coming up. Am I going to be kicked out of church and shamed because I can’t tithe? Now I’m not going to go anymore. Where can poor people go to church? Why do I have to fret over paying taxes to support people who are coming here illegally when I can barely make enough to support my self. I worked for a while in a supermarket but had to quit one day because I got such intense back pain I could no longer stand. I have one brother who helps me but he is in the same situation as me. When one of us passes the other one will be totally destitute and homeless. The government is still taxing us to pay for illegals to stay in luxury hotels. In England elderly are being forced out of their homes es so they can give them to healthy young male illegals. Canadian government offers euthanize you for free. So far it’s voluntary, but you know eventually they’ll make it mandatory when they give themselves the right to decide that you have no quality of life. When did we stop being human.

  28. @catherinethomson6136 on June 9, 2025 at 1:36 pm

    Hi Dr Jones,
I’ve just discovered your video regarding dog sedation. My female rescue dog is in dire need of a hair cut and groom as she is badly matted. She is super scared of human contact, I can’t touch her without her running away and hiding. I’ve had her now for 1yr and 9months and she is super scared, she’ll hide if I have visitors, I really think that she should not have been rehomed because of this behaviour. I was hoping I could have helped her by now, she WILL take treats from my hand but will not let me stroke her, I can’t even put a collar on her to take her for a walk let alone get her into the car to take her to the vets or groomers…
I phoned both and explained my situation and wanted to know if they could do a home visit for her but no joy…
Would L-Theanine work for this purpose 🤔
Sorry this text is so long.

Two years ago I took on a pup who turned out to be unusually aggressive at the young age of 5 weeks. We had been told he was 7 or 8 weeks old, but later found out that the mother had rejected the pups at 3 weeks of age and they lied about his age. I have been a dog trainer and behaviorist for a very long time and told the people he was supposed to go to that it was NOT the dog for them! Long story short, he had a ton of problems and I’m sure I saved his life by keeping him myself and rehabilitating him with my experience and dog pack (not my choice, but what were his options?). I had him neutered at just over a year, although it hasn’t helped as much as I had hoped. He has turned out to be a great dog in so many ways, but still has a problem with "raging" which can be quite scary! Lately I have been using L-Theonine, which seems to be helping somewhat, but managing to prevent the rage is still key. I’m very grateful for your help with these supplements. I will increase the dose of L-Theonine and try some of the other suggestions in addition. I have made so much progress with this dog and wouldn’t be able to place him with anyone else (due to the rage and. "alpha wannabe" attitude) and don’t want to have him put down even though the management is more than I really care to do at my age. Hoping for the best!

Recently my dog (yorkie) got diagnosed with chiari malformation. He is currently on pain meds however I see he still needs extra. I do not want to up the dosage of his gabapentin as it has severe side effects. Is there anything holistic for me to give him? Thank you !

  50. @notabrickinthewall on June 9, 2025 at 2:02 pm

How do we use rescue remedy for a large dog? Also wondering about L theanine. I have natural factors 100mg chewables. Dose for an adult is 200mg per day. This dog here is close to 100 pounds, so adult human = 200mg….large dog = 1000mg?
