I ordered some Zypan for my 9 pound dog. So the dosage for her weight is 1/4 to 1/2 pill with each meal but it says not to break the pills in half so I’m not sure how to dose her. What do you recommend? Thank you for the great video!

Reflux / cat
I’ve tried so many things for my dog (supplements and prescription foods), and I think low stomach acid or digestive enzymes might be one of his issues–looking forward to trying Zypan for him! Thanks for this great video!
Hey Katie! Do you add all of these at once or would you recommend I do one at a time for a couple of weeks to see reactions? And you said slippery elm and marshmallow root should be taken a couple hours before meals? Would they affect the other supplements you mentioned or only vet medications? Hazel isn’t on any meds!
This was super helpful. I actually take Zypan myself 😊✅
Please tell us the tears we need for acid reflux. Thank you
My boxer has acid reflux a month ago I took her off kibble and started cooking for her. I give her slippery elm and she’s doing better but still had 2 small flair ups in the month of August.
A very helpful video , thank you !
Do you like Zypan better than Enzycore?

Hi Dr. Katie! I came across your channel and love the content you’re sharing with fellow pet parents! 🐾 I wanted to reach out because I’m with Petsmont, a company focused on improving dogs’ lives through natural remedies. We have a 100% USDA Certified Organic supplement called Buddy Guard, made from pure fruiting bodies of medicinal mushrooms. It’s designed to help with lumps and bumps in aging dogs, while boosting energy and overall vitality.
We’d love to send you a complimentary jar in exchange for a video review! Let me know if you’re interested. 😊

I’ve heard of a natural supplement called Normotime. What do you think about it?
Reflux
I live in the Uk I’m trying to buy Zypan does it have another name
My cat has these symptoms. Having watched your other videos and advice, I’ve done a HTMA at Analytical Research Labs, a Nutriscan test and a Petbiome test. Nutriscan came negative for food sensitivities. HTMA showed very high Na, very low Ca, Mg and K, high sympathetic dominance, acute stress and inflammation in the body, potential renal, adrenal, allergic issues, alongside high Mercury and Aluminium. The microbiome test showed dysbiosis, increase in Blautia, Bacteroides and Clostridium, with very low levels of Faecalbacteria, Prevotella, Megamonas, Bifidobacteria and Akkermansia. This correlates with inflammation alongside GI tract, poor gut wall integrity, reduced immune response, poor glucose metabolism/reduced insulin function, allergies and immune mediated disorders. However, the biome people told me this result is likely a short-term reaction to something the cat has ingested (although her symptoms have spanned 3 months, consisting of a total of 10 vomiting episodes either immediately after food or clear frothy liquid early morning before breakfast, lip licking, swallowing, generally excessive body licking, very noise reactive, a lot of coming ang going to the litter box persisting after constipation seems to have resolved). My vet has no experience of these tests nor much desire to find out more. She also does not think I am likely to find out much more from a blood panel. I don’t know where this leaves us. BTW, I am struggling to find anyone that would ship Standard Process and Integrative Pettides to UK, any ideas?
Is this plan for cats too. How is acid reflux diagnosed?
Me and my 11 year old mini dachshund recently lost our home and have become displaced because of the recent Eaton fires in California. She had sometimes had a stomach issue from time to time but within a week of our evacuating, her symptoms became so bad that I was fearing the worst. Losing my home and all belongings was bad enough, but I don’t know what I’d do without Rosie. I feel like this channel is an answer to prayer. Can’t wait to try some of these things. I want to rebuild and going home (or finding a home) won’t be the same without my beloved Rose Bud. Thank you for this channel.
I just went through an acute pancreatitis situation with my cat. I did notice that before that happened he appeared to look like he burped after eating
1) Why would you not tell pet owners how to remove the root cause of acid reflux ? It’s carbohydrates in commercial pet food. Things which turn into sugars.
2) 100 years ago dogs and cats didn’t get reflux or any other metabolic syndrome chronic ailments.
3) Why don’t cats and dogs in the wild get cancer/DKA/CKD/CVD/T2DM/acid reflux ?
4) Why suggest supplements when you can fix the problem by telling the pet owners to feed their pet their species specific diet ? Dogs eat fresh raw meat, fresh raw bones and a little fresh fat. Cats eat fresh raw meat very low in fat and without bones. How hard can it be ?
CHANGE THE PET’S DIET.
The ROOT CAUSE of acid reflux is the stomach acid becoming more ALKALINE which causes the esophogeal sphincter to open at the wrong time. What causes that ? Commercial pet food which is full of CARBS, SUGARS, SEED OILS, CHEMICALS and OXALATES.
In short, acid reflux is a LACK OF ACIDITY. You make the stomach acid MORE acidic and the reflux goes away.
CHANGE THE PET’S DIET.
The solution is to change the diet and NOT to sell neutraceuticals/pharmacological interventions nor surgery.
Why is the answer always to buy pills ? All a pet owner has to do is give their pets the right food.
Acid Reflux is alkalising of stomach acid from the wrong food. Change the pet’s diet.
Can slippery elm be mixed with soft food?
Am I the only one having difficulty finding the doses in the description? Can someone please copy them into a comment?
Do you have any recommendations for a dog with hypothyroidism?
