Any thoughts on The Farmer’s Dog fresh dog food? I just subscribed for a two-week supply—haven’t received it yet. It’s a little too expensive for me to afford a monthly subscription, so my plan now is to mimic their recipes, buy the ingredients from the supermarket and make it at home.

  2. @garydace4282 on July 23, 2025 at 3:51 pm

Ziwi peak is the best kibble.

  3. @brol1k on July 23, 2025 at 3:51 pm

Rachel I need some help. My bully has bad chicken allergies and I’m having trouble finding a good kibble from PetSmart. Any help appreciated.

  4. @mikecrawford6010 on July 23, 2025 at 3:52 pm

I are fried chicken livers for my dog they love it

  5. @Jennette-l1t on July 23, 2025 at 3:54 pm

Nothing wrong with Purina. Especially purina one. Id rather listen to my vet than you

  6. @FaarookeHill on July 23, 2025 at 3:55 pm

We eat rice . A source of meat meal is still meat. They have those organic dog foods, way to expensive, and raw and they cost as much or more than dog food yet come in very small amounts for mastiff type dog’s or enough protein. People like her put down these dog foods so you can spend more of your hard earned money…. i feed my dog’s kibble with dehydrated rabbit meat, fruits and veggies….

  7. @evelynli7188 on July 23, 2025 at 3:56 pm

My dog only eats orijen. This is the only brand that she doesnt have massive diarrhea for.

  8. @omarisawesome1996 on July 23, 2025 at 3:56 pm

Avoid all the top quality ones? Ok lady. Avoid stuff like pedigree.

  9. @Jesus_is_otw on July 23, 2025 at 3:58 pm

Hey why do you talk bad about purina but then have a link to buy purina on your description? I’m confused.

  10. @FaarookeHill on July 23, 2025 at 3:59 pm

Who these people like her needs to be talking to is the dog food makers .

  11. @skindeep6800 on July 23, 2025 at 3:59 pm

You should do a review about ESSENCE dog food it’s is an amazing product I feed my dog it his health is much better and it doesn’t have Citric Acid which dog don’t need in there food

  12. @johnfloyd838 on July 23, 2025 at 4:00 pm

I’m feeling my buddy a little bit of caesars chicken with fresh pet wet food and he always whines when I am getting it ready for him to eat and I think that he loves it and I usually mix it with some carrots and peas and sometimes I mix his food with beef and veggies ❤️😎👍, what your opinion with that mixture?

  13. @sirreginaldthe4th on July 23, 2025 at 4:01 pm

This is nonsense. Professional veterinary nutritionists would say most/all of those kibble brands are fine. She doesn’t understand the composition of the dog food because she has no scientific expertise on it.

  14. @ParkCity-z6w on July 23, 2025 at 4:01 pm

    Nutra nuggets Costco? 50lbs

  15. @Mongulslade on July 23, 2025 at 4:02 pm

This lady recommends Ollies and Farmers Dog but advises that we stay away from Purina and Orijen. LOL. Nothing she says can be trusted.

  16. @stoneybrew on July 23, 2025 at 4:03 pm

@RachelFusaro Thank you for the research and opinions. My little Jack Russell, now two has been on Orjen for life thus far. He seems to be doing great on Orjen six fish and alternating with Regional Red. Do you have an update since Mars took over? Seems to be the same food same ingredients

  17. @tygastripe11 on July 23, 2025 at 4:03 pm

Open farm is 100 percent trash compared to orijen

  18. @slimecoast2coast on July 23, 2025 at 4:06 pm

    Broccoli is a fake vegetable.

  19. @CopperRidge on July 23, 2025 at 4:07 pm

Rachel – love your channel. I would love your opinion on Canadian’s brand Firstmate

  20. @dmccue6996 on July 23, 2025 at 4:09 pm

Carna4 has multiple ingredients that are tied to an issue with dogs not being able to absorb taurine and it can lead to heart attacks. The list includes these ingredients that are in that brand of kibble: ground fava beans, sweet potato, organic sprouted lentils, organic sprouted peas

  21. @williamlindsey6347 on July 23, 2025 at 4:10 pm

Lol are you a vet or not lol because my vet recommended the purina pro plan which my pitty loves lol nice try Karen

  22. @tonydeangeles453 on July 23, 2025 at 4:10 pm

    Wow. ❤🥰

  23. @joycemckinney211 on July 23, 2025 at 4:14 pm

    Mars bought them I hear

  24. @mauryabroadsword6992 on July 23, 2025 at 4:19 pm

If I can’t eat the food why old I ever feed this crap to my dog.

  25. @annalynn9325 on July 23, 2025 at 4:19 pm

I’ve been making my own dog food and it’s cheaper per pound than Origen. Problem is, sometimes I’m too busy

  26. @brutus6328 on July 23, 2025 at 4:19 pm

I’ve done tons of research before feeding my Cane Corso puppy Orijen and I literally haven’t seen or read anything negative.

  27. @SAR0311 on July 23, 2025 at 4:20 pm

    Thank you

  28. @kinart2543 on July 23, 2025 at 4:21 pm

Why would I pay $165 for a bag of kibble, that last 2 weeks and you suggest adding fresh food?

I understand your concerns, but everyone on YouTube is pushing the over the top priced kibbles.

My dogs average 15-16 years on not cheap, but moderate priced kibbles WITH added fresh foods.

There HAS TO BE moderately priced kibbles that are decent enough, while adding fresh proteins, etc.

I wish one of you bloggers would assist average pet owners kn finding the best of those.

  29. @MesquiteHome-f4u on July 23, 2025 at 4:23 pm

    You like old Roy wow

  30. @summerellis688 on July 23, 2025 at 4:25 pm

I have had more than one vet highly recommend Purina… and I HIGHLY trust both of those vets. So I’ll stick with their opinion.

  31. @joeshmoe8952 on July 23, 2025 at 4:25 pm

With everything going up in price in the USA, what would be a decent dry food for dogs but doesn’t cost an arm & leg?

  32. @Blair19 on July 23, 2025 at 4:25 pm

Hello, Ive used Carna4 fo the last year and have just switched to try ZIWI air-dried.. I add veggies and either chicken, fish or eggs to this. Any advise on ZIXI compared to Carna4?.. thank you

  33. @pace6308 on July 23, 2025 at 4:26 pm

Question. What is the minimum protein percentage in a good quality puppy food?

  34. @CorvetteC6-LS2 on July 23, 2025 at 4:27 pm

    I use 4health

  35. @TJandJalena on July 23, 2025 at 4:27 pm

Human grade is overrated. All human grade means is fit for human consumption. Also lots of human grade food lack high sources of protein which is essential for dogs.

  36. @Biggdoom344 on July 23, 2025 at 4:27 pm

People are overreacting regarding purina. She said she would not feed it to her dogs. But it’s not the worst thing in the world. However if you do feed your dogs purina, it’s the human equivalent of eating fast food everyday. Every body has their own preferences and finances are key. Purina is affordable. I don’t use it anymore ( I used to feed Purina one) and switched to Blue Buffalo.

  37. @rp9674 on July 23, 2025 at 4:28 pm

Vet told me not to give grain free to my dog with pancreatitis. She was vomiting and completely lost appetite was losing weight quickly. In which case you should use digestive formula canned food and go to the vet get meds

  38. @dianer.9203 on July 23, 2025 at 4:29 pm

Amazing Grains doesn’t have lentils or peas, and the first 5 ingredients are fresh or raw poultry or fish. Grains are non-GMO. It has 750 IU vitamin E. It contains several organ meats. Low carb. My issue is the high protein, so I wouldn’t feed it to a senior dog. I add goats milk, sardines, kale, spinach, yogurt, green tripe, eggs, ground egg shells, turmeric and other things on a rotating basis.
Last year you praised this kibble as “the only kibble I would feed.”
    What’s changed?

  39. @ljr3061 on July 23, 2025 at 4:30 pm

And when dogs at human food scraps on the farm, prior to kibble, what was the average life expectancy of the dog?

  40. @lindasilva1956 on July 23, 2025 at 4:31 pm

I just got my dogs staly and chew

  41. @DJMadVibes1 on July 23, 2025 at 4:34 pm

@Rachel Fusaro, what is a good kibble for a dog recovering from Pancreatitis and allergic to Chicken?

  42. @Washington5057 on July 23, 2025 at 4:34 pm

Dogs lick their butts, do they really care if it’s human grade ingredients?
There’s junk dog food and there’s dog food.
Listening to this makes me feel "ick".

  43. @lilikoisdad on July 23, 2025 at 4:34 pm

    It seems that

  44. @dustoff499 on July 23, 2025 at 4:35 pm

Not sure what your point is. For one, there is no food out there, human or pet, that doesn’t have something undesirable in it. I’m thinking your poor dog doesn’t get any treats.

  45. @gabriellemccarthy3623 on July 23, 2025 at 4:36 pm

y’all i don’t like leaving hate comments, but this lady is insufferable and also unqualified to be teaching about canine nutrition. plz stop listening to her. Find a animal nutritionist with a PhD or a board certified veterinary nutritionist.

  46. @cb2ization on July 23, 2025 at 4:37 pm

I rotate their food . Raw twice a week , using the SOJOS Mix a Meal., Carla 4 , then SOJOS freeze dry , Curious why SOJOS is never mentioned in your programs. ?

  47. @DeuceDeuceBravo on July 23, 2025 at 4:39 pm

Cheap ingredients are obviously a red flag. But there are issues with your reasoning…
Judging ingredients by their order doesn’t make sense since it’s pre-cooked weight.
"Human grade" is purely a marketing term.
"Extremely high temperatures" – what does this even mean?
If Purina Pro Plan is so awful, why do so many reputable breeders and veterarians give it to their own dogs? It’s because it is rigorously tested and formulated by actual DOG nutritionists. Yes they are profit driven – just like everyone else who goes into business. At least you admit that you "have a hard time understanding it."

  48. @BexaYoshino on July 23, 2025 at 4:40 pm

My first dog was almost 15yo when he passed and was on Beneful by Purina kibble and wet food. My current puppy is on Purina Pro Plan with different toppers like bone broth, greek yogurt, egg with shell, blueberries, etc

  49. @mogeking56 on July 23, 2025 at 4:42 pm

We need human grade dog 🐕 food just in case we have to eat that same food 🍱 to stay alive 🤓🙂‍↕️😏. 🤦‍♀️

  50. @muchasalud2011 on July 23, 2025 at 4:45 pm

Orijin Amazing Grains list of ingredients is still the same, but who knows if quality has changed. On the website ownership of this brand is listed as Champion Pet Foods which is owned Mars Pet Care.
