Milk thistle is amazing for people and for dogs it can clean your liver up like you have a brand new liver I’ve had people who had non-alcoholic cirrhosis and it totally redid their liver

Sorry for the sad story im about to tell but our husky Jazzy just passed a week ago and thats how i found your video because im trying to learn more about what happened to my baby. Jazzy was 4-5 and we thought she was healthy. She didnt show any signs of being ill until last monday. She was throwing up bile and didnt eat at all monday and so i thought ill watch her closely and if shes not better tuesday ill take her to the vet. Tuesday she was still throwing up bile and not eating so i took her in and they took a stool sample to chk for parasites and did blood work. The vet csme out after blood work and said he was very concerned for her because her liver and kidney enzymes were off the charts and reccomended an antibiotic snd to keep her to run iv fluids all day so i paid 900 and we picked her up tuesday evening and she was still very lethsrgic snd not eating. A few hours after she was home she started having full blown body tremors the had a seizure that was horrid to watch thst lasted 3 to 5 minutes. After the seizure she wad panting and breathing hard which i read was normal and also a rare side effect to the antibiotic but id say 30 minuted after the seizure her breathing sounded like it was getting back to normal then she had what i think was a smaller seizure then just stopped breathing and we have such a big hole in our hearts not knowing or understanding how she could go from seemingly fine a 4 days before this. Im certain nobody poisoned her but im wondering if she got into a toxic weed or ate a mouse our cat killed that ate poison. Love your babies hard bc u never know when its there time 😢

Ps:i have a copy of her blood work and ill type what exactly was high if u could give me your humble oppinion on what this could have meant. I just wsnt to know what hsppened to my bsby. Also they checked for pancreatitis they said and she didnt have it or parasites in the stool.

Is it true that Dandelion LEAF has a better diuretic effect than the ROOT and can better help pets with ascites?

  11. @skyestarler3593 on July 15, 2025 at 3:36 pm

My dog suffers from idiopathic seizures, he takes phenobarbital & levetiracetam. When he first started on pheno, his liver enzymes were elevated. I put him on denamarin for 6months and his liver enzymes went back to normal range. He now takes 800mg of milk thistle & i give him sam-e 400mg daily. He weighs 80lbs. His diet consist of gently cooked food, mostly proteins, some steamed pumpkins, puréed broccoli & fresh blueberries. He also takes MCT oil for seizures.

All the vets that I saw for my dog, when he was throwing up yellow bile, before he was diagnosed they told me they had no clue what was going on, by the Grace of the Lord almighty I found an article on pancreatitus and I had to show the new Vet clinc I am with now and they did the blood workup and confirmed my findings. I stopped buying the kibble my Wilson was eating before and now follow Dr Jones recommendations 4:39

Hi, Dr. Andrew! I need to go back and watch your webinar, but I wondered … could you make some content speaking about Copper Toxicosis? I have a litter of six Malshi Mix pups. I had my parents dogs DNA tested through embark and they were all clear except for one variant of ALT. When I had the puppies tested individually, two came back with a single variant (of three?) for Accumulating Copper Toxicosis. That’s when I noticed that every commercial food (including freeze dried and frozen raw options) contained extra copper supplementation. This has me really worried for all of my babies! I do my best to feed my dogs really well. I vaccinate minimally or not at all and skip all the chemicals for “prevention”. But still, here I am worried about their liver health.

I’d so appreciate any input on this and how we can take better care of our dogs who might be prone to accumulating copper.

I love all of this but am struggling so much as I can’t get him to INGEST any of this stuff. I’d love to get him off the super expensive Denamarin Advanced… seems like the dosing isn’t really sufficient anyway, but even that I have to crush and then add water and force feed it to him in a syringe 💉 😫

I have a disgusting question. My 1 YO male pit eats our female pit’s feces. How do I make him stop!?! We regularly clean up the poop in the yard but he goes for it pretty quick when it’s still fresh. I know this is nasty but it’s driving me nuts and he gets the most God awful gas when he does it🤢

He’s lost the ability to bark, cannot eat whole foods like before, rapid weight loss and droopy eyes. He doesn’t drink water unless given via a syringe. Currently he’s on a paste like diet of vet- pro food. And 10 ml of hepamust syrup morning and night. And also before food he’s given 2 pumps of Ondanseteron hydrochloride oral spray. My dogs were terribly picky eaters and insanely itchy. I discovered the yeast protocol diet for dogs. Its been quite a journey and we are about 4 months in but removing all grain free kibble and "healthy" treats has been a godsend. I cook their dinner everyday and there is never leftovers. The initial yeast die off was absolute misery but the few subsequent die offs have been much easier. They sometimes still itch but nothing compared to what it was. The treats they do occasionally get are dried cod skins and duck feet. They get Dr. Harvey’s vitamin and mineral supplement with their evening meal and their hair is growing in nicely. Its been an adventure but they seem to understand what we are doing. They play again and sleep peacefully. And since I’m no longer buying expensive kibble and treats the cost of good quality meats, eggs, healthy fats and minimal greens and mushrooms is mostly compensated. Yeast survives on sugar just like cancer. After checking the ingredients on everything i was giving them thinking it was healthy i found that even their vitamins that they loved had a form of sugar. Big pet food has been working hand in hand with big pet vet to keep our pets sick and themselves rich if you ask me. Sound familiar?
