Raw chicken hearts?
Tula is adorable! ❤
I make my dog food with chicken heart, broccoli, sweet potatoes, flax seed, carrot, kale, ground turkey & ground beef, and beef liver.
What would be a good mix for homemade mint bones. My dog loves the traders joes ones but I don’t think they are healthy. Any have a recipe?
I always give my dogs chicken hearts, because it’s cheap and I figured it was healthy. I also give salmon and beef liver but it’s tough to feed her berries so I have to hide it behind her chicken heart. I try to do eggs and sardines but she is picky with it.
I give my dog homemade food and I sprinkle the canine formula advance on top. He does not like the taste of it. It’s the chicken one. If he won’t eat the food with the formula, how can I get him to take the formula? I have used the regular formula and the advanced one. His main meats are chicken and turkey. He is a 7 year old multipoo. Please answer soon because he needs to take the formula. Thank you
Thank you for the great information, where can I buy your products?
Snakegourd and Carrot may be given or not my pets liking this
Tula is upstaging you lol! 😆 Great information, thank you.
Wondering if you can also give all this good stuff to a 11 week old puppy, or should wait until they are a bit older. Hum.
Can we give the egg raw?
Can you do a vid like this for cats?
Doctor what would you recommend to be in a homemade diet for a dog that is in early kidney disease but also has a grain allergy? I would like to take a natural approach instead of switching my dog to a kidney kibble. And if you have any recommendations for supplements that she might need.
Cooking the broccoli (i.e. steaming it on stovetop or roasting it in oven) solves the issue of difficulty digesting and rejection (just chop it up in small pieces and add it to their food; it will be so mixed in they won’t be able to pick it out or eat around it—works best to put it in wet food).
I’m concerned on how Tula is panting so much
Is it hot where you’re at and no air conditioner? Have you thought of using a cooling vest for her?
Thank you so, so much Dr. Jones!
Would you please make a video on what to feed a very young puppy?
I lost my sweet Molly this past December, 2024. I miss her desperately, but I’m so lonely that I’m getting a puppy in four weeks and I do NOT want to feed her kibble. I know that a puppy’s nutritional needs are different from a grown dog, but I’m totally lost on what to feed her. I’m scared to death that I’m going to hurt her by not giving her key nutrients. Could you please help me?
Thank you for all of wonderful information you share with us. Knowledge is power! ♥️
to me there is only food , and i mean the way is grown or was born
kibble is not food …its a byproduct of food waste
my dog eats food
My girl that I thought would eat anything doesn’t like apples, I don’t think she’ll eat raw broccoli, she’s picky about things actually… She won’t eat quite a few things.
I appreciate this channel so much!
Hi, is it ok to add peas to my dog’s homemade food? I also see oatmeal on healthy labels. can I add that instead of brown rice? Thanks.
can u mix all the ingreaties u discribe to make dog food
Could you do a video on healthy food for puppies please 🙏
Pumpkin ok but not seeds because they can cause blockages.
Sardines ok bones are tiny and soft but wouldn’t risk salmon due to bones.
Sweet potatoes in moderation due to oxalates.
Broccoli, cauliflower ok unless a dog show signs of Thyroid problems.
Peel fruits and veg because skins are hard to digest plus contain pesticides
Fish has heavy metals n mercury in it plus a lot of plastics
Chicken hearts are looking too fatty to me at least in the grocery store. I rather buy a beef heart from the raw butcher for dogs.its much more efficient and no fat at all. Where I live its called Meat Packers canada.they sell raw buffalo, kangoroo, beef chicken any which way you like it. Bones, no bones, veggies, no veggies all ground up in 1 lb tubes
I LOVE YOU DR. AND TULA ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What are your thoughts on a dog being vegan? Are there any alternative vegan products that will provide all the vitamins a dog needs?
THANK YOU DOC. I ALREADY GIVE MY DOG THESE FOODS. BUT, THANKS AGAIN FOR THE REMINDER. IT HELPS TO REASURE ME COMING FROM YOU THE VETERNARIAN.❤
But surely fruit will spike your dog’s blood sugar.
I very much appreciate that you continue to share this fab info with us
Dr Jones my girl Maggie is allergic to chicken. Are the chicken hearts ok.
I just cookedup a pot of homemade dog food. She loves it. Have to purée most of the ingredients.
Thanks for all your helpful videos.
Everything in moderation humans and pets alike.❤
Is it ok to give carrots to my dog? How often? Thank you.
Dogs eat up steamed broccoli, tender, and yummy.
Awesomeness!!!
Thank you ❤ she is such a good taste tester
Great advice! Moms approval message! And the music at the end was perfect for your channel❕
Dr Jones could you please give some advice on dogs with Cushings Disease what should I feed my senior dog!
Please don’t be afraid of apple seeds. They contain B17 which is an excellent cancer fighter. They do no damage to normal cells. ❤
The man who had the oldest cats on record was asked his secret. He said he gave his cats steamed broccoli and scrambled eggs mixed into their soft food. One of his cats lived to 32 and I believe the other cat lived a year or two older than that.
I want more shows for cats. What human foods are beneficial for cats ?
What great information. So grateful for this channel. Time stamps are in the description ❤
WHAT ABSOLUTELY ABOUT CATS?? I seem to find everything for dogs BUT not for my kitties!!
I am glad you mentioned how much to give by weight 😊
Do you cook the meats you use in recipes or mix it in raw like beef chicken turkey
I five my 12 yr old kelpie psylliam husk mixed with her meat as she was constipated. It works wonders. Thanks for your marvellous channel ❤ watching from Australia.
TULLA not the poodle HUMAN😂
Thank you , grat Recipe!!! But I don’t understand do we need to give RAW or Cooked (except Kale).
Thankyou Dr J i have followed your suggestions even found a kibble that is healthy with salmon, so my dog now has basically a fish diet he is still scratching and also bites his feet no matter how much i rouse with my mother’s voice lol did it work on the kids???? lol but overall things have improved. would washing his feet in epsom salts or carb soda or similar help. thank you for your emails take good care from 🐨🐕🦺
I home cooked for my Australian shepherd. I cook all my veg in an insta pot. Celery, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, bell peppers. I add grounded egg shells, vitamins, golden paste (turmeric) and an egg. Then it is the protein, chicken or beef cooked in coconut oil. Also, the liver, gizzards, kidney and hearts and sardine. I also add 2 tablespoon of bone broth. She gets ice cream made with fruits and yogurt. She also gets a frozen raw chicken feet every other day. The plan is to move to raw food eventually. I had a GSD that died of cancer at 7. I believe it is the food. Since then, I stay away from commercial food. I do homemade treats too.
