Hi! I’m doing some rabbit care research for the future, and I can’t seem to understand why it’s OK to put a rabbits food, their hay, in the same box where are they pee and poop. Does anybody know why this isn’t a problem?

I just bought the xl after seeing this…thank you for posting! ❤

My bunny’s litter box isn’t working bc she’s sitting in her pee. So glad I found this video! 🥹

My favorite option is to have my two holland lops use the toilet…hop up, take care of business. But I’ll handle the flushing. Last thing I need is Binky to try to flush her sister down the toilet thinking they’ll be more treats for her! No, Binky…you’ll get the same amount even if you flush Trixie.

I have it I take off the top though

  6. @Laura-nm2ox on December 17, 2024 at 4:29 pm

Do they like eating and pooping in the same area?

  7. @skymckay on December 17, 2024 at 4:30 pm

I bought the rooly litter box, I love how it’s big but also grated. My rabbits love to dig & flick their litter everywhere!

Could I ask for help figuring out the breed of my bunny rabbit

  9. @reneeblank4315 on December 17, 2024 at 4:44 pm

Are hooded boxes actually dangerous? I always hear that but no one gives a link to a research article

  10. @kweenjade01 on December 17, 2024 at 4:44 pm

    4:43 you’re awesome. Thank you
6:14 well that won’t work for me. But I have a very small dwarf rabbit and I don’t think this is a good size for her anyways. I’m more watching this video instead of curiosity at this point. (And I like how you’re explaining and going abt this video).❤

I have bought a HOP litter box (by Lorelei from Lennon The Bunny and their YT channel). Here’s hoping it works cuz if not? I’m still on the search.

This litter box is a game changer for sure. My bunny had outgrown his other one to the point where he’d jump in it and his back end would hang out, unless he turned. The best part of this one is the drain for the pee. So glad I saw your video. This litter box is worth every penny. I got the XL one. No regrets!

  12. @falcorabbit on December 17, 2024 at 4:49 pm

I got the XL about the same time you got yours. I like it, but my bunnies don’t use it as often as their other litter boxes. I also used a similar hanging shelf as a hay rack.

I cant find a website for them in new zealand

Yesterday I brought home two adopted lionhead bunnies, my first pets in a long time. To prepare, I set up an xpen, and on this video’s recommendation I bought the large litter box, and the hay rack from Lowes (in stock as of 5 July 2024). I have to report that the bunnies realized what the litterbox was within minutes (after considerable sniffing and investigating), and they were using it consistently within an hour. When I came downstairs after their first night here, there were a few stray poops, no stray pee, and the box was in need of a cleaning – clearly it had seen a lot of action. It was a great investment! (I just looked over, and one of the bunnies was sniffing around the drawer and then did a huge flop next to it 😊.) So thanks for this video!

Awesome I will be using long and low storage bins for my future buns litter boxes.

  16. @MahoganyBelle on December 17, 2024 at 4:52 pm

Is the entryway of the XL low enough for my lionhead to jump in & out?

  17. @BrandonsmithYt1 on December 17, 2024 at 4:54 pm

About to try it out! Thanks!

  18. @Z-Rabbit on December 17, 2024 at 4:55 pm

I love this litter box, but the wire basket’s holes are too small for my bunny to get her face in to grab enough hay. Has anyone found anything else that works?

  19. @Siwithekiwi0 on December 17, 2024 at 4:57 pm

What type of hay do you use for the litter box!

  20. @annawilson9172 on December 17, 2024 at 5:01 pm

Your videos are super helpful thank you! Would it be possible for you to do an in depth video on bonding 2 rabbits? Thank you 🙂

  21. @pameladippre4386 on December 17, 2024 at 5:03 pm

thank you. I hate Finley’s litter box as i have to change it daily. I will check these out.

  22. @maryneedham419 on December 17, 2024 at 5:05 pm

I have 3 bonded Holland Lops how often would you recommend changing the pad for three Holland Lops I also use paper pellets but plan on using pee pads as well and I was curious if can you use pellets in the tray as well as the pee pads my bunnies are huge diggers so definitely need a good option that’s helps prevent them from digging.

Hi 😀 great content thanks a lot 🙏🏽🙏🏽 and also I’ve got a question. it’s been couple month since I’ve got my rabbit. She was 1 year old when she came to our home. And we’ve gotten a lot closer ever since. She comes to me to pet her all the time and lets me life her feet a little bit and pull her closer, lies beside me but won’t sleep. She doesn’t like it when I touch her feet and licks my hand in a get your hand off way😂 and she absolutely HATES being picked up. So I was wondering, is it a sign of her not trusting me enough and it may differ as time passes or is it just her nature? And since she doesn’t like me picking her up or controlling her in any way, is it alright for her to be spayed? I mean I’ll need to take her to the vet and bring her back and she might not be in the best situation after that and it would be hard for me to get her to do or not to do something. I keep thinking what if she freaks out in the vet and runs around? And I can’t do anything. Any way, should I give her more time or it’s just what it is?

  24. @NadiaPhoenix on December 17, 2024 at 5:10 pm

Thank you for this extremely informative video! We purchased the standard litter box you linked and our Holland Lop bunny LOVES it! We clean the poop twice a day and refresh the hay – it is both easy and less dust than the pellets. Best of all our bunny has 100% accuracy with the litter box. She backs up in the back corner and pees in the same spot every time without fail. Thanks again for making such a useful video!!

  25. @persevere6326 on December 17, 2024 at 5:10 pm

    Thanks!

  26. @lebby7301 on December 17, 2024 at 5:12 pm

Hello I think I’ll definitely get these for my Holland lops as I currently just use their cage with a towel as a litter box but that’s so inconvenient to clean especially when I’m busy with school etc. so with this I need no bedding, also I shouldn’t buy the mess minimising pellets right? I think this will help as well because my male lop is very clean and litter trained (only poops in his cage) but my female poops and pees all over my house, what do I do? I’ll also watch ur litter training video after this one but I’d appreciate a reply. Do u think this is the best option for litter ?

  27. @jenniferherring8901 on December 17, 2024 at 5:20 pm

This is genius! I just received today. Can’t wait to see how she likes it. Thank you for figuring out this combo.

I have this box for my cats and it’s great! I purchased a SoPhresh(petco) large kitty sifting litter box for my bun CocoPuff because the slots in the plastic grate are wide enough for (most) of the poo to drop into tray below with urine….works great and gives my bun plenty of room to move about. Thank you for the great review and tips!

  29. @rjallen7915 on December 17, 2024 at 5:22 pm

I just saw these litter boxes online and wondered if one would work for my Mugsy bun Skip forward a few hours later and your video popped up on my phone I’m placing my order yet today We bun mums really do have to think outside the box a bit

  30. @P-A-W_Editz on December 17, 2024 at 5:23 pm

How do I teach my rabbit to only go in his litter box and not outside his cage? He pretty much goes in his cage but there’s still a few things outside his cage in his run area. But idk how to make his go only in his cage

  31. @TheVeryBst on December 17, 2024 at 5:23 pm

I make my own litter box with a cardboard box and lots of paper towels and my bunnies bedding. Since he lives in his cage (temporally) he doesn’t use it much, all I have to do is dump them outside every month so they don’t sink in and refill, unless it does sink in than I just grab another.
