Castor oil is magic stuff. Use it on my animals and myself. Fab for internal inflammation if rubbed on our stomaches. ❀❀

I have used Neosporin for years and always had good results with no complaints.

Problem with using honey on animals is that the other dogs or cats will lick it off and end up irritating the wound. I prefer Silver Sulfadiazine Cream for open shallow wounds. Works just as well and the other dogs don’t try to eat it.

This sounds profoundly correct. My dod is an allergy magnet. He doesn’t need what everyone else uses to help male him sicker than sick. Don’t do what everyone else does..

I’ve been using coconut oil. But it doesn’t seem to work on his rash. I found Donnie is allergic to most dog foods. Since I’ve been cooking for him. Donnie has his hair growing back, but the rash is persistent

Years ago my dermatologist told me not to use Neosporin as it can cause inflammation/allergic reaction at the wound site. I’d always had that happen but had t realized it was the Neo. Have use Polysporin since.

Hey Doc! So glad to find a kindred spirit! I mostly use the Green Rub I get from the Apothecary at Ren Faire, both for myself and my pets- it’s native American medicine made with multiple herbal extracts that he makes himself, in an olive oil base. The allantoin in the comfrey REALLY works fast to heal the skin, it’s amazing! One of the best things about the green rub is that it neutralizes the pain/ sting/ or burn from whatever you’ve got on your skin! Even red wasp stings, pain is neutralized in less than 5 minutes!❀

I got a Shih Tzu mixed with a Yorky. He got a bad ear infection he don’t let me touch his ear to clean it and his dark color. If I pull those hair out his ear does it hurt like they do?

  49. @jeanmorell1947 on March 5, 2025 at 1:03 am

Your right to say that people on Facebook advocate Neosporin

  50. @vegeta420z on March 5, 2025 at 1:04 am

My dog chewed a hole in his foot almost a week ago, it started oozing puss and became severely infected by the time I found saw it.
He could barely walk and was in a fair amount of pain I cleaned it with peroxide and Generic neosporin (triple antibiotic) and now his wound is healed and he’s walking good again.
Problem is that they eat the ointment which isn’t good for their stomach/GI track, but his foot is all better.
