ok a serious question. Part of the cat playing with toys is biting them. Are you making sure that all items you are using are safe to bite to. That includes feather (and what they were colored with) and of course the glue you have used to attach them and also the string.

My orange furbaby loves string. Once the original toy broke off (I bought from dollarstore) I just replaced it with jute rope/twine, tied around the end nub of the stick. It’s hella sturdy and cheap, still have loads of twine left!
Any time you need stuffing for something you are making at home, you can always take it out of an old pillow you no longer want.
I’d also like to say…….THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for not having loud annoying music playing during the entire video as you talk. I really don’t understand why sooooo many YouTubers play music as they talk. Why not just talk and let us be able to focus on the words being said and not the damn music?

I love when you laugh and you’re playing with him. I have a gorgeous black kitty with great big green eyes. I call him Texie and when I play with him with the Rumpel rug and laugh when he pounces on the stick, and then 10:31 think Kurt knows when he entertains you too. Just keep having fun with that little kitty. He’s adorable.

What if you took the feathers off the wand toy and make a bunch of the yarn pompoms and attach them to the string? You’d be able to tie them on instead of using hot glue so he could play with them when he catches them.
Quick question, is Kurt a female or a male?
I think the paper towel tubes were too long. The yarn pom pom could be dangerous if the cat gets a piece of string and eats it. I think the cardboard/cork mouse would be more successful without the attachments to reduce the amount of things the cat could pull off and eat.

should combine the bottlecap toy with the yarn toy. just do the same thing with the yarn around the bottlecap one or hotglue it onto it.
also maybe use smaller bottlecaps or like round pill holder bottles conainters

You put too much thought into this. An empty box or a little tinfoil ball is all they need.
My cat’s favorite toy was super easy to make. But it’ll take a while. You’ll need to drink about 30 powerade/gatorades. You need the lid seal-rings. The bit that normally stays on the bottle. Then, you just get some string. Tie it around 1, give a little string, say.. [….] that much, then tie on another. Make the string like a spine, and the rings, ribs. You get a slinky kinda thing that rolls and bends in every way and allows kitty to get his paws in the rings. (and back out easily) My cat knocks that thing around everywhere.

Dip the pom pom in catnip and make a base for the scratcher and I think he’ll use them
The caterpillar sock probably smelled bad because of the sharpie as well
Some shelters will allow u to make some toys like this for they’re cats for enrichment! Def should talk to their volunteer coordinator n see if u can make some of these at home! (No staples or tape items tho!)
I dyi our cat toys a lot I use funky silky cord as the sting is really durable and my cats love it and will tie it to there old toys like those little balls or bird toy using by threading it with a needle they love that carry it everywhere down side they bring it to you a lot 😂 its adorable

Those paper towel rolls were too deep. You should’ve cut them about third so he didn’t have so far to dig and then maybe a half but they were too far for him to dig. But nice try creative good idea. It’s fun to watch you having fun with your Kurt. ❤❤❤😂😂
