Make sure the legs are inserted behind the ridges
The legs were quite stable after I found the ridges on the feeder behind which the legs should be inserted. Without using these ridges the feeder was not stable and the screw holes in the legs did not align with those in the feeder. With the ridges found and used it seems fine.

Our recently retired greyhound does jar the feeder a bit as he’s cleaning up his bowl after eating, and it is able to withstand his pushing it. We won’t be serving him much more than 2 cups of food at a time, so the 2 qt capacity of the bowls helps keep his food contained as he eats.

He is a bit of a messy drinker and the tray does a decent job containing the evidence. We added a doormat under the feeder as well to help keep additional dripping off the floor.

So far so good with this feeder. It is stable enough for what we are putting it through.
