When you squeeze the solution into their ear DO NOT let go of the pressure you are putting on the bottle while its still in the ear! The noise and suction can hurt them especially if the ear is sore.

Most videos tell me not to put anything in the dogs ears, but I’m like, how am I supposed to get them clean if I can’t put anything in them?? Most videos I watch they just use a Q-tip on the outside of the ear when I know full well that my dog needs the inside cleaned because she keeps shaking her head and the outside is already clean. So thank you for this video.

I’ve done this with my dog every few days for TWO MONTHS and it won’t heal.

Wilbur graciously? You are awesome Wilbur!!

Love that when they do these demonstration videos they choose the most chilled dog ever. This is almost impossible with my Staffy. He wrestles away, shakes his head and fights as if his life depends on it. The second any liquid touches his ear he pulls away, shakes and struggles. I probably get a single drop in his ear canal and the rest of it spills all over us. There has to be an easier way to do this. Some kind of applicator. It needs inventing. Maybe something like cupped headphones for dogs that seal over the ears and is strapped to the head, then a tiny hole on the ear cups that you can inject the liquid into. Then you could remove it, massage the ears and let him shake out the excess.

    What a good boy

  16. @OleBcy on September 13, 2025 at 6:44 pm

I’m not gonna lie, I’ve watched at least 50 videos on how to do it and I know that I know how to do it but I keep watching videos bc I’m scared I’m going to hurt my dogs ears 😂

  17. @KindCountsDeb3773 on September 13, 2025 at 6:47 pm

Wha t about the dirt/debri & liquid that goes DOWN into the canal where I can’t get to it to remove. I never get the answer. You did mention a "drying" ingredient though and I appreciate it. My dog’s debri looks black and like dirt. But h e is basically a house pet. hmmmmm

Video cutoff just seconds before Wilbur did a vigorous head-shake, spraying this lady with the excess cleaning fluid, lol…

  22. @castlebilliards8712 on September 13, 2025 at 6:53 pm

  23. @sophiereynolds1832 on September 13, 2025 at 6:56 pm

I’ve watched a LOT of videos about cleaning dogs ears and EVERY single one says DO NOT put a Q tip in your dogs ears…majority rules here

  24. @TK.000 on September 13, 2025 at 6:57 pm

When the vet cleaned my dogs ears like that she cried. Now she won’t let me clean her ears at all. The rubbing was too harsh for her.

  25. @sheriturner6118 on September 13, 2025 at 6:59 pm

Thank you for showing this. I pretty much have been doing it like that but my dog is NOT that supportive of the help I am trying to provide her. It takes three of us to hold her even somewhat still.

  26. @wihangaperis247 on September 13, 2025 at 7:02 pm

    DONT USE QTIPS

  36. @brandongonzalez3656 on September 13, 2025 at 7:18 pm

Don’t go to the vet they just want to profit out you just checked if their debri or just if your itching their ear

🙄you have to be mindful of how many drops you put. There is going to be a lot of poor dogs out there with new ear issues after watching this video 🙈
