So you are no longer feeding your dog liver?
Why is all this homemade dog food full of rice? Dogs are carnivores
Do you have a chart on how much to feed different sized dogs?
Are there any concerns about tarter build up on their teeth since it’s technically soft food? I know it happens with kibble but I don’t think it would be as much, or am I mistaken?
Rice is horrible!
With this recipe or any of your recipes, how do you figure out how much to feed her for her weight
Thanks and congrats on how good Sable’s doing, she does look great good job.
Walmart carries these in the freezer section. #Walmart #bigcountryraw #felineschoice #diabeticcatcare
I Love a man…who loves
his dog enough to cook
this healthy diet for them…❤
God Bless all who do this.🙏
I read that peas are not good for dogs because of phytate.
Why do you feed Sable that fake cheese. There’s no benefit to it.
Hi There, The Healthier cheese not the process cheese which is the one in the wrapper also the best peanut butter is Organic Teddie Peanut Butter She Looks Happy Your A Good Doggie Dad 👍Like Watching Your Show .. You Make It So Easy Thank You
Ck that peanut butter has nothing but peanuts and salt. Store it upside down so the oil will mix when you open the jar. Beware xylitol!
sun flower vs olive oil…i will recomend olive oil (the real deal) and or coconut oil (BEST).
do you serve it cold?
What happened to the turmeric and pepper??
I mix everything up with an immersion blender! Works great and easy to manage.
I’d choose a good fish oil instead of a seed oil.
First, it is best to skip peanut butter, as most all brands have added seed oils which are bad, added sugar. (which is the 2nd ingredient on your PB label).bad and salt, again bad. All of these are in the peanut butter you are using. The worst additive in many peanut butters is Xylitol artificial sweetener, which in small amounts is deadly to dogs. If you have to use peanut butter, make/buy single ingredient peanut butter that is safe.
Rice is a useless ingredient…not a "good carbohydrate", which dogs don’t need much in carbs, carbs mean sugar….rice is nothing but carbs/filler. If you must use a grain, use oatmeal which has many times the nutrition that rice has. The best oatmeal is from ‘One Degree organic foods’ , and can be purchased at Costco. This is ‘sprouted’ oatmeal, and has many times the nutrients as regular oatmeal. Dog nutritionists recommend to feed less than 20% oatmeal to keep the carbs down.
Cheese is good, but not so much American cheese if that is what you are using. American cheese is processed and is only made with >51% real cheese and Velveeta, which is in the same category, but less than 51% real cheese, is also made with vegetable oil… just use 100% real cheese.
Most Vets are not nutritionists and don’t have the proper knowledge… they are ‘trained’ @ Veterinary School to recommend Purina and Science Diet, as they have funded/influenced much in the institutions. If you notice at the Vets, their is advertising for Purina and Science Diet which in reality are not great choices for nutrition.
Anyone know if he uses organic vegetables ?
I recently got a new puppy that’s going to be a large dog lol and have been researching the best way to make good homemade food for her and this has helped my overwhelmed brain so much!
I cook for three dogs. Very similar ingredients. There were a few things that I object to in your recipe. Our dogs health has really improved. Two of them have digestive problems.
Thank you for these recipes. I have made a couple batches for my dogs and am going to make more. You take such good care of your pets. Sable is such a good dog.
Awsome
Sable looks wonderful.. thank you so much for videos and recipes ❤❤
I dont understand why you cook this instead of giving the dogs actually something they would eat? Rice IS NOT FOOD FOR DOGS!! NO WOLF EVER EAT THIS!!
I think what you’re doing is great ! But for my little dog the vet nutritionist recommended pearled barley as the grain. It is difficult to find a good quality in the grocery store. But is it is very nutritious and a great fiber source
Why cook it steam it and keep all the nutrition in it.. the stems they take them off their still green growing the most nutritious part of the carrot.. if you cook use the water to hydrate pour it over the food the next meal I’m sure it will make a few. Think about if you’re pet was in the wild what would it eat.. small animals stomach would have things in it that would also benefit their diet in small amounts. Water is necessary their urine should not smell just like ours a nice light color. Not bright yellow.
I add turmeric, cinnamon and ginger to my homemade dog food
Use brown rice VERY RARELY if at all. Use white rice OCASSIONALLY! Research, people!
how much rice???
If you’re pet has diabetes the #diabeticcatcare section read the food stickies a dog as well can go into remission from diabetes. Slow and easy.. don’t panic.
Talking to your vet, doesn’t give you the proper answer on whether those arsenic in there or not if the medical community that’s included have been lied to buy our government and the food industry about our products like the rest of us have for decades! It’s ridiculous that you act even saidthat you heard from your vet that it wasn’t. If you believed them, you’d still think the dry dog food was good because that’s what the industry says. Explain that contradiction.
Where do you get measurements of each ingredient
warning peanut butter has some ingredients that are not good for humans nor for animals, cheese try to use organic since the other kind have added ingredients that are not healthy….read the labels please…u can make your own peanut butter. I will suggest to cook the vegies al dente so they retain more vitamins, also u can add kelp. same goes for the fruits…use organic and the rest is perfect.
I make this but I just use my big electric roaster. I put everything in together, use a meat masher to blend it, and I have exactly one pot and one tool to wash up when I’m done. I add the oil and pumpkin at the end. We do top with omega 3 oil several times a week, during flea season brewers yeast and garlic tablets, and usually an egg every other day in the morning. The only other thing I do is mix and match meats; ground turkey, chicken, and beef. I’ve found that buying turkeys in season and just keeping them in the freezer, roasting one, and grinding it myself is far more cost effective than buying the pre-ground where we live. I do the same with whole chickens. The bonus is it generally gives us a meal at the same time, and plenty of bones to make stock/broth.
Dude thats American cheese the most processed and unhealthy plastic cheese
Be careful with the peanut butter, some brands are toxic to fur babies. My wife and I have chosen jif and our mastiff babies love it. Just some FYI from one dog lover to another.
@TheBuckStop watch the apple seeds…they contain ARSENIC. Also, the skins on sweet potatoes are not good for dogs. My 9 dogs get homemade food daily, with a scoop of quality kibble, and mix ingredients together with some hot water in a huge bowl, then scoop out 9 equal portions. I add a teaspoon of good quality local honey to each dish… they love it. A few variations I add are salmon (puree the bones), and sardines in water. I boil and peel cut-up sweet potatoes for treats. I make enough for a week, and it keeps well in the fridge.
In the last video I saw that you cooked the meat for 25 minutes; this video 10 minutes. I just want to be sure I do this correctly. . .how much time?
don’t you or Sable eat that fake cheese
Sunflower oil is not good for dogs or humans because it is obtained at a very high temperature using chemicals….avocado, coconut, olive oil are good.
Dogs are not supposed to eat grain! At what point in a dog’s natural life if they’re out there in the world, will they eat grain.? They won’t. They’ll get those nutrients out of the meat when they eat an animal!
Tumors are normal for labs to develop. Does your dog have any? If so, have you noticed they have shrunk since you started cooking for her? Has she had joint problems, trouble getting up from laying down? If so, has that gotten better?
Thanks!
Love it ! An love the information but not really clear on measurements? How much of each!:( otherwise would love to try jt .
Is there anything that can be used instead of sweet potato and pumpkin puree as my little lady has allergic reactions to both of these?
My vet said a couple studies is showing may be causing liver dis function, I am giving broccoli in my mash mixture
Just an FYI. I’ve had a few vets say some dogs are allergic to chicken.
You can also buy chicken gizzards liver necks feet add to their meal in the Bible it says to feed your pet off the table. Allergies use no aroma coconut oil rub it on the area you can also put it in a bowl and let them eat it great for inflammation in the stomach and for their teeth.
What where the quantity of the ingredients used in this video
