Cinnamon can cause low blood sugar, vomiting, and liver disease. while nutmeg and clove are toxic and is not good for dogs. A little ginger is ok. I also use oat flour. Becareful of the peanut butter as a lot has too much sugar, salt and some even xylitol. That can be deadly. We only use the NATURAL with just a couple ingredients. I’ve also made cookies with baby food chicken and unsweetened applesauce and oatmeal as well as with bbf beef. Pumpkin and sweet potatoes are also good. For that "chocolatey" drizzle, ONLY USE CAROB. IT IS ALLERGEN FREE and doesn’t have the harmful ingredients that can kill your dog. Even humans allergic to chocolate can have carob. I have had some carob nut clusters that you swear was chocolate😊 berries are good to add to the biscuits, too. Crush cranberries, blueberries and strawberries can be added. Foods safe for dogs or recommended can be added to the biscuits in different varieties. Just make sure they are small pieces no bigger than pea size and mix into the dough or batter. Store in the refrigerator in a container once baked.
And another cool thing, if you have a dehydrator, wash sweet potatoes, slice them about 1/4" thick and put them in to dry. Once dry, they will be like tough leather. For small dogs you may want to not dry as long making a softer chew or cutting them in thinner slices or even cut the slices in long strips for easy chewing. Experiment. These are Great chews for dogs as a snack or dessert to follow their meal! And yes, the skins are left on. No need to peel.😊

Thank you Kent! My pups will love these❤

  9. @shawnhousewright7973 on May 4, 2025 at 10:29 am

U can do sweet potato puree over pumpkin too. We air fry chicken skins that’s defattened and sweet potato skins

  10. @dominiquew.8181 on May 4, 2025 at 10:30 am

No to these brands of peanut butter. Get natural peanut butter period with nothing added please.

  11. @nomadicroadrat on May 4, 2025 at 10:32 am

Suggestions for the next time: Oat flour or pea flour instead of wheat flour. Sugar free peanut butter. Add turmeric and some applesauce (no need for honey or any other sweetener).
    just saying.

  12. @littleredtruckmn on May 4, 2025 at 10:34 am

My only question is what temp if using an oven.

  13. @Giomalmsteen on May 4, 2025 at 10:34 am

I make similar treats for my chickens. I mix in oats, flour, eggs, chia seeds, oregano, beef broth, honey, pumpkin and peanut butter. Gotta keep them fat for winter

  14. @kimberlylee1329 on May 4, 2025 at 10:34 am

Please don’t buy peanut butter with xylitol! It’s fatal to pups! I can see how much you love your puppies!

  15. @debbiejackson8949 on May 4, 2025 at 10:36 am

What a refreshing video. I’m currently into making homemade puppy treats. Made lots of notes from this video. Bless ya

  16. @suzeauster2223 on May 4, 2025 at 10:37 am

  17. @AprilBaisden on May 4, 2025 at 10:40 am

Thank you for this recipe!! My 7 year old granddaughter and I are going to make a double batch so she can share with her friends who have doggies.

  18. @chrismazz75 on May 4, 2025 at 10:41 am

For peanut butter, make sure the ONLY ingredient is peanuts.

  19. @larsbliss2728 on May 4, 2025 at 10:43 am

One of my dobermans, Rosie, would have intestinal problems a couple times per year. Putting a big tablespoon of pure canned pumpkin on her food took care of that. All 3 of my dobermans, well 2 now, like it a lot

  20. @marleyb2063 on May 4, 2025 at 10:44 am

i have 3 dogs and they would love them but it’s to hot in 2024 summer 😢😢😢🥺

  21. @dannyschaible7112 on May 4, 2025 at 10:44 am

It feels good to give back to the ones that never stop giving. She doesn’t ask for much, so I will give her the world.

  22. @cynthiawofford-wc1mf on May 4, 2025 at 10:45 am

Your story about the beagle spitting out a milk bone reminds me of my schnauzer. If he didn’t like something, and he definitely had opinions, he would politely take it then bury it under a throw rug. So, if you stepped on a rug and it crunched, there was a despised item under it. I think he would have loved these treats.

  23. @magdelinesahdala5060 on May 4, 2025 at 10:45 am

I use coconut flour or brown rice flour or oatmeal flour

  24. @mayracastro4810 on May 4, 2025 at 10:50 am

  28. @nayt2242 on May 4, 2025 at 10:51 am

Cackle berry /egg lol we all call in my young day❤❤🎉🎉😊

  29. @arcana5335 on May 4, 2025 at 10:53 am

How long do these keep? It’d be great to make a whole mess of them during the pumpkin harvest and have em all year but that may be asking a lot…

  30. @deannaseder-massengale8484 on May 4, 2025 at 10:53 am

  41. @djunakoenemund4334 on May 4, 2025 at 11:05 am

All 4 of my fur babies are rescues. I have been msling dog treats for years ..their favorite is chicken and carrot. And because i have chickens i always add extra egg..
Kane is my picky one ..he wont eat store bought biscuts. He is my taste tester😅 All the dog cookies have to pass the Kane taste test😂

  42. @passionateherbs on May 4, 2025 at 11:06 am

I’d love to know where to get that bowl you were mixing in! Also, most boxed chicken and beef broth has onion in it and I can’t find any in my area that doesn’t.

  43. @bluevelvet8 on May 4, 2025 at 11:06 am

I make these ALL the time now for my 2 Boston Terriers. I do add a can of sardines with their juice and use only one egg. Turns out great!

  44. @bigsistermaria5578 on May 4, 2025 at 11:07 am

Pls dont use wheat flour. Use an alternative like almond, chick pea, rice etc.

  45. @eldonwoods1259 on May 4, 2025 at 11:09 am

Oh My Goodness! Our two pups love these homemade biscuits! We think they ask to go outside just so they can turn around and come back in and get their “good dog” treat!

  46. @mccullochleah526 on May 4, 2025 at 11:10 am

Hahaha my dogs spit those bones out to

  47. @Jeffreymart on May 4, 2025 at 11:11 am

    🤠🗯Beagle Power

  48. @AngelikaDegenhardt-r3k on May 4, 2025 at 11:15 am

    Thank you Kent. Your delightful!

  49. @Katseye102 on May 4, 2025 at 11:19 am

Now I was told ….by different people that you should use oat flour instead of wheat because some dogs have a tender tummy to wheat flour. You can make oat flour (because it can be pricey) out of oatmeal, just put it in your blender.

  50. @chelseab5467 on May 4, 2025 at 11:19 am

    This is great thank you!!!
