ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
Hemp Oil For Dogs Benefits – 5 Reasons to Give Your Dog Hemp Oil:

Number 1 is the perfect Omega-3 and Omega-6 balance. Hemp oil has a perfect balance of 1 to 3 of Omega-3 and Omega-6 oils. These oils can work synergistically together enriching your dogs health.

They do this by lessening inflammation in the body and speed up healing for such things as arthritis, allergies, cancer, heart disease, diabetes and liver and kidney disease. Hemp oil will help prevent these diseases.

Hemp oil also provides great skin moisturizing abilities and gets the Omega oils deep into your dogs or your own skin and I use it as my personal favorite skin oil, it’s thick but not greasy and leaves the skin feeling supple and fresh, also great on your dogs dry flaky skin.

Number 2 is hemp oil reduces joint pain in dogs. Researchers have concluded that the GLA in hemp oil reduces arthritis symptoms in dogs due to its perfect fatty acid profile. And my own research concludes that it does help dogs with arthritis and freeing up joints.

Number 3 is hemp oils antioxidant value. Hemp oil contains vitamin E and A which boost immunity and fight free radical damage. Free radicals come from drugs, pesticide use, vaccines, diet and pollution and cause oxidative stress to your dogs body that can damage cells and the DNA. The antioxidants in hemp oil help to control free radicals and improve your dogs immune system, especially as they age.

Vitamin E will also help your dogs eyes, heart, skin, brain function and immune system balance. Vitamin A helps the skin, eyes and immunity to diseases such as cancer.

Number 4 is hemp oil is a better option than fish oil. Hemp oil has no side effects unlike unstable heat processed fish oil. Fish oil goes rancid easily and can cause inflammation in your dog. Hemp oil is stable, cold pressed, does not oxidize or go rancid.

If you get organic hemp seed oil, it won’t have any contaminants in it unlike fish oil that can contain high levels of mercury. Also fish oil depletes our oceans of fish while hemp oil is a fast growing sustainable crop.

And number 5 is hemp oil benefits your dogs diet. Hemp oil contains GLA from linoleic acid an Omega 6-fat and dogs on a kibble diet are deficient in GLA. GLA deficiencies can mean allergies, arthritis, digestive problems, diabetes, cancer and skin problems. Your dog needs GLA and hemp oil contains it in abundance.

For the benefits of hemp oil for dogs, It’s recommended to give a level teaspoon per 1lb of dog food.

Hi Dan, should I give my dog hemp seed oil once a day or twice considering he eats one pound of food every meal twice daily?

  2. @KathleenLim-u9h on December 17, 2024 at 4:28 pm

    Dear Dan,

First of all, thank you for sharing all your knowledge. I have started my dog on hemp oil (and green vibrance), a year ago, because of you, she has an aggressive type of sarcoma, which so far has been controlled with chemo (and I believe, also with all the other food supplements she has).

The only problem I’m having is that hemp (marijuana) is restricted in my country in Asia, and I was able to order from Amazon (3 brands) a couple of times but after those orders, the products will be restricted. I’m running out of good brands, hence, I would like to ask for your help if there are any alternatives to hemp oil?

The properties I like from hemp oil the most is the omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acid balance, that act as anti-inflammatory, joint support and weight management. Do you know of any other substitute I can use for hemp oil?

    Thank you very much!

My dog is 8 years old an she is stiff especially of a night time, I have given her her first dose today, hopefully she will be able to move better like I do now. πŸ™πŸ™

Hi Dan, thanks for this video. I just got started with a small company selling liver/hemp treats and hemp oils for pets. I am excited to sell these products to people’s pets who do give their pets ultra-processed foods and educate them about where the issues are coming from. I also would love to use it on my own face as you recommended.

Hi doc my 13 year old dog suffering from chronic cancer, can you please help me to cure him πŸ˜’πŸ™πŸ™

    This is his sonogrophy report

Urinary bladder: Highly distended urinary bladder was observed with anechoic urine having occasional floaters and non-uniform wall thickness, measuring 0.25cms -0.33cms. No e/o gravel or calculi seen.

Prostate: Small sized prostate was noted measuring 1.07cms x 2.00cms.

Left kidney: Observed with preserved shape, slightly altered contour loss of the architectural details. Non-homogenous cortical region was noted measuring 0.85cms in thickness. Irregular cortico-medullary junction was seen separating cortical and medullary regions. Cortical to medullary thickness ratio was 1.15. Prominent foci of precipitation forming tiny concretion were noted near the pyramids. No evidence of hydronephrosis, Anechoic pelvis was noted. Renal dimensions: 6.48cms x 3.81cms. Renal length to end diastolic aortic diameter ratio was observed to be 6.96 implying a normal sized kidney.

Right kidney: Observed with features similar to the contralateral kidney – preserved shape but slightly disturbed architectural details. Non-homogeneous and hyperechoic cortical region was noted, measuring 0.83cms in thickness. Slight effacement of the cortico-medullary junction, was noted with cortical to medullary thickness ratio was 1.43.. Focal calcified foci were noted in the cortex and the cortcio-medullary junction. Prominent foci of precipitation forming concretions were noted at the level of pyramids and hilum. No evidence of hydronephrosis or pyelectasis. Renal dimensions: 6.04cms x 3.47cms. Renal length to end diastolic aortic diameter ratio was observed to be 6.49 implying a normal sized kidney.

Spleen: Moderately enlarged spleen was noted with hyperechoic and moth eaten and coarse parenchyma having rounded, hyperechoic borders. Splenic breadth measured 2.22cms.

Liver & Gallbladder: Moderately enlarged and bulky liver was noted with highly heterogeneous and non-uniform parenchyma. Multiple nodular and areas of mixed echogenicity were seen distributed throughout the parenchyma, highly suggestive of neoplasia involving liver. Well distended hepatic and portal vessels were noted. Well distended gallbladder was noted with hyperechoic walls and small amounts of sludge precipitated on the dependent portion.

Abdominal Cavity: Partially stomach was noted with hyperechoic contents. Bowel loops were observed to have contents of mixed echogenicity. Left adrenal measured 2.69cms x 0.71cms-0.82cms, whereas the right adrenal measured 2.09cms x 0.52cms-0.82cms. Enlarged splenic lymph node was seen measuring 0.88cms x 0.74cms, whereas the hepatic node measured 0.96cms x 0.67cms. A cystic/cavitary para-caval node was seen measuring 2.47cms x 1.65cms. No evidence of any free fluid in the abdomen.

Impression: Moderately enlarged spleen with non-homogenous and moth-eaten parenchyma. Moderately enlarged and bulky liver with changes suggestive of hepatic neoplasia. Hepatic, splenic and para-caval lymphadenopathy. Bilateral renal parenchymal changes observed. To be clinically correlated.

Does hemp oil help dogs with dandruff????

  33. @gorgonbukio on December 17, 2024 at 5:19 pm

Hemp seed oil is NOT cbd oil, which is made from hemp flowers and leaves.. There is next to no psychactive compounds in hemp oil. CBD oil maybe good for dogs too in specific cases, but be aware they will get ‘stoned’ from CBD oil unless it is denatured.

Hello. Are there any contraindications if a senior dog (15 yo) has elevated liver enzymes and is on Denamarin and Ursodiol? Could it elevate liver enzymes more?? Thank you πŸ™πŸΌ

  38. @Master-AGN on December 17, 2024 at 5:21 pm

Is hemp ALA? Sounds like a scam. Studies of ALA metabolism in healthy young men indicated that approximately 8% of dietary ALA was converted to EPA and 0%-4% was converted to docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) (6). In healthy young women, approximately 21% of dietary ALA was converted to EPA and 9% was converted to DHA (7).
Essential Fatty Acids | Linus Pauling Institute | Oregon State University

So you and doggy aren’t converting that much to the mammalian useable forms. Is there something I am missing here?
