If you’re in the grocery store and they don’t have grass-fed organic, only grass-fed or organic, which should you choose? In this video, I’ll let you know.

Grass-fed vs. Organic:

Organic
β€’ If something says its 100% organic, then it’s organic
β€’ If something just says organic, then it’s 95.99% organic
β€’ Organic means without pesticides, antibiotics, hormones, or biosolids (sewage sludge)

Grass-fed
β€’ There is no legal definition of grass-fed (it needs to be grass-finished)
β€’ Grain-fed beef is heavy in omega 6 fatty acids, grass-fed is not (omega 6 fatty acids are more inflammatory, omega 3 fatty acids are more anti-inflammatory)
β€’ Grass-fed beef has CLA, and more vitamin A and vitamin E

Ideally, you want to consume grass-fed grass-finished 100% certified organic. I personally use a company called US Wellness Meats.Β

I usually pick 100% grass fed ( even though it never says the fields are bio, in EU it says, In Germany and switzerland for example). Organic means – they can feed any ORGANIC crap to these cows, but not grass! So, how far is this to understand, fellow Americans?! πŸ˜€ Let’s see what this guys has to say!

  6. @RBray-vz4rs on December 17, 2024 at 4:29 pm

I don’t think any cows or grass fed 12 months of the year

Across Ecuador, all the cows are what could be called "pasture raised". They dont get given anything. That’s because hundreds of thousands of families across the land outside of cities – and not far outside either, – have their own few cows. I have a friend whose mother has 13. Some have more, much more, and some have less. But — they put them in wild growing pastures, and they tie the cow with a rope, so it has to mow down one area totally. Then they move it and repeat. So the cows are eating various grasses, weeds, plants, all sorts. They also often are fed by roadside vegetation. And because they are moved around, the new greenery they eat is comparable to sprouts – new, fresh and full of active enzymes. This is because these people are all poor, and could never afford to buy in dried grass, seeds etc, and also would consider it a stupid thing to do. So all the flesh and milk products are the best you can get.

In Canada we have regulations that say grass fed means at least 75% of its diet has to be from grazing.

  23. @TomWuQ on December 17, 2024 at 4:53 pm

  33. @uoCloud12 on December 17, 2024 at 5:03 pm

Is there a difference in between how much of different nutrients you would be getting from organic vs grass fed? And even with the label "grass fed" does that also mean that sludge might have been used for these grass fed cows?

  34. @albertrussell4323 on December 17, 2024 at 5:04 pm

I don’t think USDA/Organic states whether the animal is GMO or non-GMO

  35. @charlesg6299 on December 17, 2024 at 5:05 pm

How Bought Both or Dont Buy it thats the Correct answer

  36. @michaelmonthey5974 on December 17, 2024 at 5:07 pm

Grass fed and organic together is even healthier.

The danger of eating out, restaurants should be regulated the same way. When you eat out, you really don’t know what you are getting

  38. @donnananar1556 on December 17, 2024 at 5:13 pm

Why is so difficult to found meat πŸ₯© grass fed, and grass finished, or organic? I love lamb, and pork, but is difficult to! What to do Dr. Berg?😒

  39. @TheGreenPillCoach7 on December 17, 2024 at 5:15 pm

But, which one is better? I don’t think you actually answered that question. You said we should aim for the ideal…what about when we’re in the situation you laid out in the first place where we have to choose between the two options in your title?

  40. @ninamares1309 on December 17, 2024 at 5:15 pm

Aww thank you so much for this. I appreciate this. This is serious!!!

  41. @Spyrit2011 on December 17, 2024 at 5:15 pm

Temperate cattle breeds like Dexter and highland cattle do very well on a grassfed diet. I have noticed that a number of small to midsize farms that are doing 100% grassfed are using smaller temperate breeds of cattle.
