ABOUT TODAYS VIDEO: Glucosamine For Dogs
Three of the best supplemental sources of natural glucosamine come from the following:
GREEN LIPPED MUSSEL: is natures anti inflammatory for joints and arthritis relief.
The green lipped muscle or GLM comes from the waters around New Zealand and has been is use as a remedy by the Maoris for hundreds of years. GLM has only recently become popular in the west due to its highly beneficial anti-inflammatory properties from tests on dogs.
Half of all dogs over the age of eight start to develop arthritis in their joints, particularly the elbows, knees and hips. Traditional drugs are expensive and lead to distressing side effects, creating new problems in other parts of the body. GLM as a natural food source brings welcome relief.
GLM can be obtained as an extract in powdered form. The best brand will have been processed without heat extraction for better quality nutrients.
A general rule of thumb is 150mg of powdered extract per 10lbs of your dogs lean body weight per day.
If you don’t see improvement after one month of use, you’ll need to up the amount by 25%. As your dogs condition improves, you can lower the dose to the starting amount.
GLUCOSAMINE sulphate generally comes in powdered capsule form or as coated tablets. You can also get it as dog chews (see links above). Make sure it’s glucosamine sulphate from a quality brand as many inferior brands use other binding agents as fillers so you don’t really get the correct amounts of glucosamine.
Your dog needs about 200mg per 10lbs of lean body weight. Simply add to your dogs daily food.
Glucosamine is safe and if your dog is badly arthritic, you can safely double the dose. Continue supplementation for life. Glucosamine has proven very effective for arthritic dogs.
BONE BROTH: is a delicious and inexpensive way to give your dog a nutritious boost to their diet. It provides welcome relief to a compromised digestive system and a sensitive tummy.
Bone broth also aids in detoxing your dogs liver, boosting their immune system, protecting joints and is packed with vitamins, minerals, gelatin, glucosamine, hyaluronic acid and glycine to aid digestion.
In short, bone broth is super easy to make and creates a powerhouse super food dogs really benefit from consuming.
As well as making bone broth to use fresh, you can freeze portions as highly nutritious meals ready to mix into the diet and for healing gastrointestinal issues.

Is carnilove dog kibble a healthy choice
Can you please tell me the name of a joint supplement youd rexcomend for a senior small dog please
Hi Dan, my dog is 6.5 years old and she is overweight. I’m afraid she may have joint issue when she gets old. Is it good if I start giving her GLM now as preventive action?
What would you recommend for a 9 years old German Shepard?
Hey there thank you so much for the video! I have a 3 year old 95 pound tall lean German shepherd Husky mix. He’s very big and strong but lean and muscular. He eats whole hearted whole grain Kibble and I make him fresh brown rice to go with it. He always has lots of energy! He gets two long runs every day one in the morning and one in the evening. He gets lots of exercise and loves to hang out with me outside! I’m telling you all this so you can have as much information as possible. I wanted to start giving him Glucosamine supplements to help reduce the chances of joint and hip problems in his future what would you recommend? He hasn’t had any health problems before and his joints are very strong and healthy but I want to keep it that way! Thank you again for your time and for all the information!

Hi! My dog got diagnosed with Medial Patella Luxation Grade 2, my vet said joint supplement will help, but didn’t say which ones. Will this help my dog?
Which of these products is good for collapsing trachea and which is good for arthritis? She is a 14 year old Cockapoo who has SARDS.
Please respond.
My pup needs your help.
Hi Dan, have you heard of Myos pet?
Would these supplement options help in stabilizing or reversing the affects of a collapsing trachea due to the cartilage rings loosing its rigidity? Thank you for any feedback you may have.
Can I buy the frozen green lipped mussels and it be the same? @dan Scott
Also does it have to be beef bone broth or can it be chicken???
Hi Dan, my dog has super senstive stomach and we did a hell lot of blood tests but nothing came out. He is alright when just chilling all day but the moment we try to make him exercise he poops and keeps on pooping . Once or twice its but if we intend to make him exercise daily pooping all over would cause weakening. He is on kibble right now but we switched to fresh food and his stomach was worse. We tried to walk him very slow and small distances but as we gradually increase it the same problem starts ? Anything we can try?
Would you recommend PetHonesty hip and joint health?
Hi dan so my 10 year younge applehead chuhuauah has had siezures in the past but a few months ago he had a very strange one where his entire body just went limp he couldn’t even put his tongue in his mouth and the limpness lasted for over an hour the next day he had non stop diarrhea and vomiting for about 3 days straight and he couldn’t hold anything down I started giving him Ginger tea and boiled chicken and rice until we could get him to a vet where they started him on cerenia but he has to take it every single day now so that he has a good appetite and so he’s not nauseous and his stomach doesn’t turn all day they also give him an anti diuretic which he was taking for over a month but he doesn’t take that anymore now I had blood work done x-rays fecal and took him to a free clinic to get an ultrasound because it was so expensive but they didnt have the tech there so they said they would do the best they could but said they didnt see any big obstructions they have no idea whats wrong with him i also gave him a dewormer when it first happened at the Vets request just to be safe in case it was some kind of parasite however he still has to take the cerenia which is for stomach upset for Gastro intestinal problems because even before all this he would have these horrible pains in his stomach where he would scream and Yelp out of nowhere until we’d have to rub his tummy for about 20 minutes or so until it went away so I think he’s had stomach issues for a while but he is currently on a probiotic called proviable Forte he’s taking Gabapentin for oral tooth pain he’s taking cerenia for his stomach problems he’s taking famotidine I believe to repair the stomach lining Omega tri v which is a fish oil supplement and Dasuquin Advanced joint health support for dogs I’m wondering if you can give me any tips on what to do to hopefully help this situation because I really don’t want him taking all these meds for the rest of his life or if you can possibly recommend your personal favorite supplements and your favorite multivitamin or immune booster or any advice on what I could do for his diet I try to give him dehydrated food on a regular basis but sometimes I switch him to soft food when I can’t afford the dehydrated food also if you could recommend a specific gentl Dental powder that you believe works the best I’d appreciate that as well thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you thank you for all the advice you give it helps so many people hope you have a blessed day😊
