DIY Raw Dog Food | 2022 Update
DIY Raw Dog Food | 2022 Update
This is how I feed my dog a raw food diet in 2022. Inflation has made it a bit more expensive but it’s still cheaper than kibble and WAY cheaper than made for you raw food out there on the market right now. In this video I show you where I get my dogs food, how I prepare it, store it, and feed it to him.
I have also included links to all of the tools and supplies that I use below:

My approach might not be perfect but it is simple, cheap, stress free, enjoyed by my dog, and healthier than kibble!

A dog must chew to have good teeth and jaws
Beef organ capsules online 36.00-45.00β¦..π€
Thank you so much! Iβve seen many different vids on feeding but your two are by far the most realistic and makes me so excited to start the process!
Thank you for sharing. Really appreciate the info. Hopefully I can find some chicken hearts at Publix. Any other suggestions for places to look?
Do you reuse the containers? Are they dishwasher safe type containers? Thank you so much for this great message for our much loved pets.
i believe u also mention that dogs can eat the chicken bones without grinding… i also thot chicken bones wwere bade for dogs due to splintering
What brand and model of grinder do you use? Great video β€
So thatβs about double what I spend. Okay a little more than double. But seriously how can we feed our dogs right without spending more than it takes to feed ourselves?
So just curious how much of a change did you see with the raw diet ? Also where did you get your containers? I have 2 pups 1 just had TPLO surgery and I’m sick of kibble I think it’s causing major health issues. Also ice cubes aka water cookies π
Do you ever worry about salmonella or anything ?
did you notice any change in temperament? I only recently adopted a Dogo Argentino and am considering a raw/ real food diet. π
Has your dog ever been constipated or had loose stools/vomited when eating raw? P.S. My puppy is a Brittany, and your name is Brittany! I really hope you reply to my comment. I need help BADLY.
Thank you for this video. Ten years ago, we started feeding our dogs homemade dog food. Unfortunately, the 1st gen recipes relied heavily on carbs. (I’m still convinced even with the higher carbs it was healthier than dry commercial kibble.) They lived well past the estimated age range for the breed. Nonetheless, we’re still learning and we’re using this recipe with hard boiled eggs we put through the grinder as well (we have an abundance) to feed our new pup. We used your link for the grinder as our 20+ yr old grinder started wearing out, putting bone through it. Blessings to you guys and may Sprocket have a long healthy life. β€π€
Hi Brittany,
Thank you so much for sharing those informative videos! They’ve really boosted my confidence in starting to make my own dog food. Watching your process and hearing your insights have been incredibly helpful.
As I embark on this new feeding regimen for my dog, I have a few questions about the transition:
1- Is it normal for their stool to be less frequent or smaller in volume compared to when they’re on dry dog food?
2- I noticed you use lean meat in addition to leg quarters. Could you share your reasons for this choice?
3- I’m considering triple grinding the meat, especially since I plan to initially cook it to ensure the bones are thoroughly crushed. Are there any downsides to this method that you’re aware of?
Fantastic video, great information…Thanks
Great. What plate size do you use?
What a cutieπ₯° Thanks for sharing your process — Solid teamworkπ€β‘οΈπ€
Donβt you add vegetables at all?
May I ask why a dog needs to eat veggies? Never seen a dog digging up carrots to eat. Just saying.
Hey, just curious if youβre going to do another update video? Iβm basically doing the same diet but cook veggies (carrots, sweet potatoes) sheβs 9 months golden retriever and her blood work came back great π thank you for your videos
Mine loves broccoli π₯¦ too. And bok choy
Thanks for the update!! Great Job!!
What’s going on?? You cant just give us this great content and stop….wassup wit Sprocket? All is well hopefully
can u advise which grinder u use
Can you please tell me the exact model number or your grinder? We want the exact same one. The link takes us to several options. Thanks!
GFS adds salt to there frozen meats so its horrible
I have 3 dogs and keep going back and forth between raw and kibble due to the fact of how confusing and expensive raw is. Thank you for making it feel like this commitment to feeding raw wonβt be as hard as I make it
Doesn’t your sink get clogged
How many times a day do you give him this please? x
Howdy! Love your vid! Quick ?, Is there a big difference between feeding raw organs (beef liver) rather than freeze dried? I currently feed my 4 GSDβs freeze dried but was debating on getting actual liver if it is more beneficial. Thanks !
What model is the grinder. There are many and I’m looking for hp. You’re works really good and not too loud.
Your video just recently appeared today and was glad to see it. I have a 4.5 year old mini Schnauzer. My wife and I started her on the raw diet at 8 weeks old. It takes us just over 2 hours a month preparing her food that includes grinding and cleanup. We also dehydrated 2 lbs beef liver then cut into small cubes, freeze and use for her treats
Started my 6 little dogs on Raw chicken last night… this morning I wake up to diarrhea all over… I am not giving yet
That is one lucky dog. hope he is still with you.
do you grind the leg quarters?
Ongβ¦heβs sooo cute β€
You take such good care of him! Such wonderful dog parents! π₯°β₯οΈ this video is so helpful!
Thanks for the update! What do you think about pumpkin powder? Just curious if dogs like it enough to top dress with?
Iβm sure I probably just missed it somewhere, but what brand and model is your grinder?
Thanks!!
Hey there, I really appreciate this video!! I have a German shepherd as well and I want to change to raw diet and this honestly blew my mind, never thought of grinding it myself!! I looked on line and found a grinder for $30 like yours and Iβm going to do this! Amazing and happy I found this video on my feed!
Thank you π
Brilliant!
im thinking on buying the same bone grinder, do you think it can handle stronger bones like turkey ?
What meat grinder are you using? I like that it handles the bones too
Tip, use ox liver instead of chicken liver. It has more protein, vitamin a and copper
When are you posting more
Good afternoon, my dog has allergies to chicken , turkey, sweet potatoes , so I purchase I FEED RAW, it’s expensive , so can you please help me with a raw meal plan for my pitbull of 60lbs ,11 yrs old will eat anything, HELP! HELP!
Its good to see content for dogs that are at least 100 lbs. I have 2 and both are 100lbs. Hard to get a feel for feeding big dogs raw when the creator is feeding a 10 lb poodle. π no hate on the smaller dogs, just good to see.
Hip dysplasia is scurvy…he needs vitamin C!
Did you buy the $459 grinder or the $759 one love your video Iβm getting my dog on the same thing
What kind of grinder do you use?
awww…. good dog ππ½
Feeding your adult dog once a day is better than twice a day.
I have had one of my Great Dane live 16 years before I had to put him down because his body
was wore out and could not walk or stand anymore. But he was in good health otherwise….
