My cat almost died from licking a drop of castor oil. I would never put that on my animal.

Thank you, but please note that castor oil is toxic to cats

  4. @coyotech55 on December 17, 2024 at 4:32 pm

I started using castor oil for my own arthritis and tender spots and found it worked well and usually lasts several hours. If you’ve been using it for awhile, it works even better. Meanwhile nothing was really helping my old dog. So finally I did try rubbing castor onto his hips and back, massaging it through all that fur. He loved the application, and after a short while he was up and moving around much easier! He could lay down with his back legs under him, which he hadn’t been able to do for a long time. I’m going to keep doing it with him for sure.

    Which brand oil?

  12. @margotmargot4426 on December 17, 2024 at 4:39 pm

you should use a bendage with castor oil in it .. to keep it for at least an hour or more for pets, and all the night in a sick for you..

  13. @coyotech55 on December 17, 2024 at 4:40 pm

My mostly malinois guy has become an old man of 12 with sore hips and back legs – so sad! I’m trying various things to see if I can keep him lively. I like DMSO, but it’s kind of rough on human skin full strength – not sure if he’d feel it through all that thick fur of his, though. Castor oil would really gum up his fur. I’m going to try DMSO and this flax seed idea. I have arthritis in my thumb joints and some other spots – I rubbed some castor oil on my sore spots, and it definitely helped. But I don’t have the thick fur 🙂

Also, there was another vid talking about the benefits of castor oil. Make sure its in a dark glass bottle, and it contains NO Hexane!

  15. @jeanmorell1947 on December 17, 2024 at 4:43 pm

It’s great for your stomach too I buy castor oil sometimes hertigage little more expensive it is but sometimes I use now brand it doesn’t have hexane. I have foot problems I use my castor oil packs on stomach knee feet it works but don’t take it by the mouth put it in belly button put cloth or castor oil pack on buy on eBay or Amazon. You will clean your liver out. Advise your arthritis fantastic I also use flannel on top. Castor oil packs are great

  20. @minniegibson8722 on December 17, 2024 at 4:53 pm

I use organic castor oil, cold pressed, unrefined, hexane free. I get it at Walmart. I have arthritis and it helps. I use it for many things.

  21. @NuLiForm on December 17, 2024 at 4:54 pm

My big Tabby girl likes Coconut oil & it Drastically helps her stiffness & mobility…i first discovered this when she began sipping it off the top of my coffee…she even licked the sides of the cup! Fascinated, i let her do it..because..instinct often tells us what we need. She is 9 yrs old & slowing down…but after a few days of doing this she began to run & play again…& her overall condition improved significantly. She is an older cat & has always had a weight problem..no matter how hard i tried to monitor her food intake. She almost starved as a tiny baby & that trauma stayed with her…she panics when she gets hungry. After about a year of this, she realized she would not go hungry ever again & her fears subsided a Lot..Though she still mournfully cries when hungry, she stops eating now when she gets full, before she gets sick..

Hi, I’m wondering if I can use it for my Back pain

  27. @robertfarrar9223 on December 17, 2024 at 4:59 pm

I do have a comment for you. Use cold pressed organic in a amber glass bottle. Why? So you dont get plastic residue from the bottle as I was told the oil has potential of absorbing from any plastic etc. The most pure and beneficial comes in tinted glass only. I use this for skin, scalp and for sore joints.

  28. @Allenmassageguy on December 17, 2024 at 5:00 pm

I’m super excited about trying this. Never used it but after having Covid super bad it left me with neuropathy and both feet and my chiropractor can’t even do a good adjustment I. Me. Neck is so stiff from arthritis. I have a 9 yo pit terrier mixed who has been limping ever since his vet injected him in the shoulder for mean allergy issue. I follow Dr Jones advice a lot. Love this guy!!!!!❤

Thanks again Dr. Jones! I have the beginning symptoms of Plantar Fasciitis. Going to try this out!!! Fortunately, i always have Castor Oil in hand. Going to try it on one of my boys(Havanese names Lucky). He has a gimp in his right leg.

I am trying to get over my fear of castor oil. It comes from one of the most toxic plants on the planet. Notice the scientific name "Ricinus" = the poison ricin. I don’t know how it is processed, but I hope the quality control is stringent!

  32. @bufordmaddogtannen514 on December 17, 2024 at 5:03 pm

I’m going to try it for my psoriatic arthritis. My foot and ankle are so swollen and in pain I’ll try anything to walk normal again with less pain.

I’m no stranger to castor oil and castor oil packs for myself, but how do you put castor oil on a dog’s hips if he’s a long haired Border Collie? Any suggestions are welcome.

  36. @sheraalanaRev310 on December 17, 2024 at 5:11 pm

My dog won’t jump up or down all of a sudden don’t know what to do.😭😭😭 Can’t put castor oil everywhere cz I don’t know where it pain him.

  37. @christineramsey6578 on December 17, 2024 at 5:12 pm

Make sure your castor oil comes in a tinted glass bottle to keep light from penetrating.a plastic bottle can deteriote from the castor oil. Glass bottle please ❤

  38. @tkorte101 on December 17, 2024 at 5:16 pm

My understanding is that Castor Oil is highly toxic for dogs if ingested. Topically it’s fine but they shouldn’t be able to lick it off.

  39. @KathrineMilford on December 17, 2024 at 5:17 pm

I use castor oil for everything!
Around my fur babies eyes for cataracts.

This definitely seems interesting, but I don’t think this vidseo is good evidence to support your remedy. It hasn’t been 24 hours…. is it the next morning though? Plantar fascitis feels better throughout the day as you warm up the muscle, and is most painful first thing in the morning. Massage 4 times per day would certainly help, even without castor oil. I definitely think castor oil could be effective, but this test isn’t a good one because it’s one day, and it appears that the before and after is the on the same day. Also, plantar fascitis isn’t arthritis… it’s microtears in your muscle, so the title is clickbait. I’d highly suggest that you get a pair of superfeet insoles, and replace any shoes with soft EVA foam, like your running shoes, that are more than 1 year if worn regularly, or 6 months if you are a daily runner.

I had this and it is very painful. I had a massage called ART=active release therapy. Took the knots away and the following week it was gone. This massage was incredibly deep tissue. A painful massage but worked.
