My dog Annie has just recently been put on lasix and antibiotic clavam or something with it but she has been doing just every now and then a cough and gagging and then she just seems weaker she’s drinking less water she’s peeing less but they wanted her to stay on this medicine we just got an x-ray and stuff Saturday and she seems to be getting weaker and weaker and like she’s gasping for air I told the vet today that I don’t want her to suffer and she has a large heart and they think there’s fluid in there as well and her stomach is there anything I can do to help her? And is this painful for them should she be on any kind of pain medicine I was afraid to give her anything thinking that it could slow her breathing even more

I have a 4yr old St Bernard that started having seizures about 5 months ago. He weighs 150 to 200 pounds. He’s not very active and we live remotely. Other than cbd/thc what else can i give him to keep him comfortable until the mobile clinics start in my area?

Absolutely agree that holistic treatments for doggie heart problems are the way to go. We have a 10-year-old labradoodle that was plagued by both arthritic and cardio-pulmonary problems so severe that we nearly put him down. After four vets and thousands of dollars of expense that did little good, we took matters into our own hands and took a naturalistic approach. The results were remarkable. Within a few weeks, he was completely transformed, his symptoms were gone and he became the active dog he always was. The center of the treatment, we think, was the 400 mg. daily dose of CO enzyme Q10, which strengthened his heart muscle. We also treated with tinctures of hawthorn and Asian ginseng, Omega 3, and CBD/G. The only prescription med we used was Carprofen for his pain but we’ve phased that out. We also boosted his diet, with almost all raw food. It absolutely worked.

I just bought your cannabinoid liquid for a ladies dog, she doesn’t take care of him, I’m babysitting him, she may not get him back… she’s been sending loads of money to a overseas love scammer, so much that she went without power, so this old little guy did without air conditioning this whole past summer, law enforcement had to step in and stop her from sending anymore money, how much care he could have been getting if she had been a good moma to him😢

@veterinarysecrets I give my 16 yr old chihuahua hawthorn .25mg, dandelion .25mg, and cbd .25mg all 3x per day. Should I change the hawthorn to the C0Q10? ❤

  11. @CatherineVT-r5u on September 29, 2025 at 7:09 pm

Lasix is a synthetic sodium. Did you know if we adults go to an ER what is the first thing they give us…… a Ivy bag of saline solution. Did you know each bag of saline solution has 9000 mg. Of sodium in it. If sodium is so bad for any of us why are we given 9000 mg. ? Because the heart needs sodium so do the kidneys (sodium pumps are in the kidneys) look up Dr. Ardis. Remember we’ve had enough synthetic’s for a life time in our bodies. Dandelion leaf is a better way to go.

I have been trying to find the cbd oil you use NuLeaf, I’ve searched online and found it, but apparently the public can’t get it. Can you recommend a brand or type to get. My dog is a 15 year old Jack Russell male and is not on any prescription meds. I have found and ordered the other 2 things you recommend in the video.

Vetmedin is making my dog sicker.

  35. @rp9674 on September 29, 2025 at 7:31 pm

Congestive – Meds help so much, with comfort and General Health. Mine got vetmedin 1st, after ultrasound she got Lasix diuretic and spironolactone (?). The ultrasound was fairly expensive and she’s so old she had a bad recovery from sedation, I wish they could have done trial and error instead of ultrasound. Diet is crucial, mine got burned out on foods quickly. It’s good to keep some digestive Foods handy, dry and canned Karma once they start having muscle wasting a day or two without eating can be critical. Quality canned foods are so expensive now it can be cheaper & healthier to feed the dog ground turkey or chicken breast. Chicken cooked different ways, grilled, burgers, slow boiled like sous vide. They need a lot of protein, but probably some starchy carb and veg, carrots fresh or cooked in moderation and with a meal, sweet potato. My sweet dog started getting nippy in her Advanced stages, but to the end I was able to give her pills in mashed up chicken pushed to the back of her mouth, can’t miss meds much. Lots of short walks four quality of life and health. Watch for belly bloat, may have to retest and / or up dosage. LOW SALT as much as possible.

    Legros Ways

  37. @vha3742171 on September 29, 2025 at 7:37 pm

I had two beagles that had conjestive heart failure. Both on low sodium diet. Bandit past in March and then Betty Boo due to this disease. Both I gave Q10 and Young at Heart which had Dandelion root. It helped for a while. Have one beagle that 15 with same health issues. Low sodium diet is the key.

Dr, what would be the measurements for a 8lb dog?

  39. @BenBarros on September 29, 2025 at 7:42 pm

The vet recently told me to take my shih tzu boy off lasix because he was showing abnormal kidneys values in his blood test and I want to start him on dandelion leaf asap what do you say DOC??

  40. @TakenTimeEnjoyLife on September 29, 2025 at 7:42 pm

Question: can you use these in conjunction with the heart meds Vetmedin, Furosemide and Benazepril? After a year from my dog diagnosis, the cardiologist has come back and said we never get to remove a dog from the failure list, but we are officially removing your dog from the failure list. My Dogs heart has gone back to normal size and there has been no change in the valves. I would like to implement some of these naturopathic elements into his daily routine, but I want to make sure that I can do this in conjunction with the medicine he’s already on

  50. @salcosentino6262 on September 29, 2025 at 7:56 pm

I gave my dog the proper dose of a dandelion but extract which is all I could get. It worked within two days his coughing stopped. Unfortunately at the end of the second day he developed an itchy rash from his shoulder blades to mid back. I stopped and it’s going away so I believe it’s not common but I think he’s allergic. I’m going to go to Hawthorne berry and see how that works
