Is this recipe safe for kittens? My kitten is 5 months old and I want to make sure she has the healthiest diet. I have a dry food that I feed her in the mornings that is kitten specific and seems to be pretty clean compared to most (open farm) and I typically mix wet and dry for her dinner although I’m hoping to swap her dinner to something more along the lines of this recipe.

Asking for advice for a new cat mom! πŸ₯²

Unfortunately my cats will not eat this.

Thank-you for this recipe! I’ve been wanting to make home made catfood (we have 12 rescues who live strictly indoors) because I believe it is healthier and will cost less. It’s important that I make the best food that gives our cats the nutrients they need!

  12. @eugeniustheodidactus8890 on September 8, 2025 at 6:04 pm

Is this ALL a cat should eat in a day? My cat is at her kibble bowl many times per day plus she gets her all protein supper.

My cat just got diagnosed but cat be treated cuz he’s too difficult so i’ve been feedng him this recipe with other meats as a snack and he seems to be doing better. His fur is softer, his poop doesn’t smell as bad, he’s even less difficult. We’re getting his levels checked again at the 6wk mark of his last visit. The vet wanted to put him down rt then and there but we’re trying this first. I will update. Thank you doc, this seems to be helping

Thank you from my cats and I! I enjoyed your video & the demonstration on how to cook this. Very straightforward, & simple to follow.

  28. @Spyrit2011 on September 8, 2025 at 6:16 pm

My cat will not eat bird meat, she will only eat beef (she refused lamb and pork) , tuna, salmon, and mackerel, (she refused sardines), I feed her Tiki cat wild caught salmon in salmon consumme and Feline Natural beef (it’s literally the consistency of meatloaf with au jous) My recommendation is do not fry meat, slow cook it in bone broth. You don’t want to cook out the water soluble vitamins in meat.

are there any alternative options to krill oil? can i just use more sunflower oil instead? or something else? Thanks!

  30. @BluePuppyCat on September 8, 2025 at 6:21 pm

Could you make a video about making a homemade kidney diet for cats please? I’m struggling to find a reputable one and you’ve put me off of prescription diets as I was sceptical about them in the first place.

  31. @melissaking-banks4215 on September 8, 2025 at 6:22 pm

What about lysine missing from diet, strengthens immune system and immunity feline herpes and other viral illness

  34. @JackSparrouw on September 8, 2025 at 6:23 pm

Would you have to feed them wet food with this recipe meal?

  35. @angie_the_cat_lady5140 on September 8, 2025 at 6:26 pm

I come across your video while researching homemade cat food recipes. Yours is by far the easiest and most informative I’ve come across. I’ve been looking into changing our cats diets (five indoor fur babies!) to something healthier. To help lessen the hairballs, excessive shedding, and stomach issues; our youngest cat who just turned 2 years old has a sensitive stomach. Discovered the expensive way that he cannot have what is marketed as "hairball control" cat food as it makes him sick.
I do have a question: is the protein interchangeable? As can I use ground chicken or possibly plain ground pork? Thank you for sharing !

  36. @HandheldGamingHQ on September 8, 2025 at 6:29 pm

them cats be eating better than some body builders

  37. @pattisonenterprises on September 8, 2025 at 6:30 pm

The music is too loud in places making it difficult to hear what you are saying. What about adding sardines?

  38. @markt.7377 on September 8, 2025 at 6:33 pm

I will not give an obligate carnivore sunflower oil

  39. @jaylasanchez9396 on September 8, 2025 at 6:34 pm

Starting this lovely recipe today! Do you foresee issues with chicken hearts replacing the taurine supplement?

  40. @peacequeen2579 on September 8, 2025 at 6:34 pm

OMG!!! Your Krill oil is an EPIC FAIL. No way you can get full dose. Most of it was all over my fingers. Why would you sell it this way???? Seriously ruined. Need dropper version. You should have known this.

  41. @marionlindsay8535 on September 8, 2025 at 6:34 pm

@VeterinarySecrets Thanks for sharing this recipe. Would it be good to change up the protein to lean ground beef or chicken sometimes ?

  42. @copper_qween on September 8, 2025 at 6:34 pm

Can the turkey be substituted for chicken?

  43. @jeaniechen7419 on September 8, 2025 at 6:44 pm

I hope my cat will eat it!

  44. @charles1606 on September 8, 2025 at 6:44 pm

Egg Shells could upset the digestive organs even though its ground. Cats and humans do not need fiber. Fiber is a myth.

  45. @Braveheart.22 on September 8, 2025 at 6:45 pm

My cats love rice, mackerel, pease, creme of mushroom soup as gravy.
    Or fried potatoes, eggs, cheese.
    Dogs/rice or potatoes,,, beans, corn.

  46. @susanbedard2295 on September 8, 2025 at 6:45 pm

    Can cats eat red meat?

  47. @louisenilsson8951 on September 8, 2025 at 6:45 pm

My cats don’t want to eat the turkey I cooked. They only want canned cat food. One of my cats refuse to eat wet food.

  48. @dgarnett4220 on September 8, 2025 at 6:47 pm

My kitties x 3 of them , never eat wet food. Good cat food and treats, so smart and we cat proofed our yard no harness or leash. Cat door on screen door . They love it and we them, many cat stands in house and yard. We love them a whole lot. Shot and fixed that’s all. No more. Love them ❀❀
