No mistakes here! Our birds fly free in the living room. Swings, perches and toys are in the window overlooking the garden. They can see our chickens from there and the hummingbirds are also very close as there is a feeder there within a foot or two.

I had mybird die 7 monthd ago, i never closed his cage, he was always free to get out and get in (except i was closing his cage whenever he got down and opening it back on when he climbed up, ge would get so mad and was starting to yell me to call my mom)
God i miss him..
He was in my life for around 7-8 years..
He died of a cancer, big tumor appeared on him and squezed his lungs..
So many things they got wrong😂

Im giving ky birb an unfair life we cant afford him to get a bigger cage but his sister (i think) a few months ago but we have him up on a windowsill and my neighbours gave me my first bird last christmas and they have loads of bird so we leave my bird erin to talk to the other budgies to anyone reading this if you know how to take care of one you can get one if you want just make sure to always watch bird nugget for tips as we all know but if you dont know than DONT get a budgie they are delicate and will die if any purfume of spray or oder is sprayed and put your hand in the cage of your budgie and keep it still for 5 mins and when the bird starts to get used to you then after 1 month or 2 the budgie should be close enough to you to the point it will come out but WASH.YOUR.HAHDS before interacting with the budgie or bird and i hope you read this bc i need this to be top comment that would make my year❤❤❤

my mistake was ever letting my bird sleep with me 🤦🏻♀️ I have these very lightweight towels and I let him bundle on it so poop would not get on my new couch and yeah.. now it’s a thing 🤷🏻♀️ every.dang.night and they sleep chirp the way dogs will dream and bark 🤦🏻♀️ it’s all worth it I love my little Turdy Burdy

Can someone please explain why my buddies of 5 days and my budgie of 3 years suddenly died.There were no signs what so ever in fact in they playing and eating just fine when I came down and saw the older bird at the bottom of the cage with the younger one still alive but paralysed I picked it up and it died shortly after I’m crying right now because I got the new bird so my other one wouldn’t be lonely

I was wondering when u clean the cage to clean pearchs should I use a towl or a vacuum
I do not agree with the cage cover one. Some birds can chew the cage cover and ingest fibres or get their toes caught or even hang themselves. Better to place the cage in a dark room at night and use a blockout blind/curtain at the window.
Even with the cage having a tray to catch stuff, my lovebirds manages to get seeds and pellets onto the floor. I was almost guilty of the too many toy things since I didn’t want either one of them getting bored while I’m at work, I have toys divided evenly between the cage and the out of cage playground. Tweety already managed to shred one of the toys apart. I’m also guilty of the dowel one since the cage came with one, though I also bought some wooden branch like ones and two half log ones and a ladder that they managed to strip bark off the majority of.
Umm I live in India and I think there are no bird shops that have things that a bird needs

My bird loves chatting with birds outside. Not budgies, just pigeons, tits and other birds in the area. I open the window once a day and he just chats with birds outside. Every time I place him in the cage and he sometimes tries to get out but he can’t so I let him chat a little more than close the window and let him free flight 🙂
