Do u know what radiant heat panel wattage I would need for a 6x2x2’s and 4x2x2’s ??? see a couple different ones
Also do heat panels change the room temp a lot?

It says on website no need for sealant, did you apply sealant to yours, or do you plan to?

I ordered from sog only problems i had is i like how animal plastics routers the edges so the pieces fit absolutely perfect. Also the tracks are plastic and the glass almost seems like if you pull on it or if a snake pushes hard against it will pop out. They are decent enclosures and my take on it is if you can afford to wait animal plastics is the way to go if you need an enclosure fast sog is the way to go

    U don’t have to wait that long….

Good looking enclosures and for the record, you don’t hold back with your opinion good or bad. You tell it like it is.

Love the lock and the channel for the tape. just looks like a well thought out rig. If the lead times are even within a couple months that is huge. I might upgrade to one of these when I need it.

Any updates? I was told by apc I’ll expect mine this month, 6months in but now I’m second guessing that’s just to ease my mind because they don’t have a clue either they’ll get to it writing the promise or October where it’s gonna be 8 months. They have my rhp from pro heat. I almost wanna cancel my order, get my panel from them and just buy this cage from American enclosure so I have ease of mind I’ll get it for sure. I’d like to know if that cutout with the screen is optional? Thier website doesn’t give an option for it and I’ve tried to reach out to them with absolutely no response back.

I got a baby het tiger albino reticulated python and when I got her, I noticed her tongue was bent down towards the end it doesn’t seem to affect her and I have had her for three months and she seems fine, but do you know why her tongue might be bent?

Four weeks till ten year anniversary of channel.

  18. @RossJ316JC on June 29, 2025 at 2:50 pm

Are they still making enclosures or did they go out of business?

  19. @odyss160 on June 29, 2025 at 2:53 pm

neat and if i would have known about this… i wouldnt have gone with ap cages… but im still gonna stay with them because i want to own a proheat rhp and with the war in ukraine, bob is having a really tough time getting aluminum for his rhp. 80% of our aluminum comes from russia.. so if im waiting long time for that might as well wait for the t10 from ap cages and have them install it for me.

Are these available in 4x2x2 (without) the center bar in front of the glass?

I saw his enclosures at a reptile expo I went to, and I was impressed with his enclosures. I plan on ordering enclosures from him in the near future.

Love the metal railings! Idc if the bottom of the glass gets scuffed up after years of use (not being able to get every crumb of grit out of it, that is going to happen with any railing if you dont stay on top of cleaning it). Plastic rails are the bane of my existence.
AP experience: I bought two, many years ago, got them fairly quick (before they completely blew up with orders), I like how both companies use the front face built in with the dividers. More recently! I bought 6 cages in my last order in December (2020, got them early November (2021). I have swing out doors for my small snakes/cages, and those panels are flimsy flimsy – like wet paper y’all.
Lastly, locks. I like the 3M display locks for the security of this scenario: 1 glass door breaks (or poly warps) and I call to purchase a replacement and tell them the interior door (door without the lock itself, just the lock HOLE) needs replacing and they send the wrong one x.x (my faith in humanity, and my luck would dictate this scenario), at least with display locks both doors are identical. But those push/pop locks are faaaaaaancy looking!
Thanks for reading my book, volume two coming soon to a comment section near you.

    Most importantly thanks Steve!

How do I get ahold of him?

  28. @Emma-wi8ri on June 29, 2025 at 3:06 pm

I just came across these really thinking about prices are great and no where close to animal plastics times which so absolutely ridiculous

  29. @jon_web on June 29, 2025 at 3:08 pm

I can vouch for SOG enclosures as well! I have three so far.

Love those locks! Needs to get off shipping FedEx though. My local FedEx DC is so short handed, I personally know people who have had products sit at the DC for 6 weeks!
