Very cute sweater, Tula! 💖
Can these all be given together?
They sure made bad meds for dogs too. I use natural. Thanks for helping
My dog is 77lbs, am I right in saying that it would be safe to give 770mg of L-Theanine twice a day then? Seems alot.
I purchase Dr Jone’s calm chews. They help my mini poodle who has separation anxiety, and my mini who has loud noise- fireworks/thunder anxiety and my Standard boy who hates his face trimmed!! Thank You Dr Jones.
CBD has helped my dog with idiopathic epilepsy and she loves it so much she knows it helps.
Of which brand we can use the product melotonin pls. Reply, available on Amazon and in budget, can we use melotonin for humans to our pets
How -$## do they get these drugs onto the market? I am so happy you share such info. Thank you 🙏
So my german shepherd weighs 140 lbs. to give him valarian root drops, I will need to give him 3 1/2 ml so I can trim his nails. I have been taking him to the vet to do his nails because he won’t let anyone trim his nails. I don’t know how they do it because they always take him in the back. He also has dysphasia so we don’t want to accidentally hurt him. The only thing he takes for his dysphasia is cbd, Cosequin and petclub247 mushrooms so he is not on pain meds. Will 3 1/2 ml be enough?
My adopted 1 to 6 year old special needs foster dog came to me on Gabapentin and Trazodone meds for fear and anxiety. Long story.
He refuses to take the chewable Gabapentin in cheese after 10 monthsk. I stopped the Trazodone because of its sedative effects with Gabapentin. He became a sleepy zombie.
For his OA and bilateral Grade 4 medial patellar luxation pain, doctor recommends Librela monthly injections $65/each time k dog since he’s inconsistent taking his Gabapentin.
Bedinvetmab is the active ingredient in Librela™. It is classified as a monoclonal antibody, which is a lab-made protein developed to target certain parts of the body.
In dogs with osteoarthritis (OA), cartilage breaks down in the joints, which causes the bones to rub together and cause pain. Bedinvetmab specifically binds to a protein messenger called nerve growth factor (NGF), which blocks its ability to communicate pain signals to the brain, thereby preventing the dog from feeling pain."
Could you discuss this?
My dog Kiwi is the only dog who hasn’t been socialized in our case, growing up during Covid. In addition I am a low income senior so her interactions are relegated to the elevator in a place which discourages dogs (everyone loves her) and because she’s hyperactive and barks and any other dog bigger than herself … I don’t see any viable medication treatment here but tx for your help. Still trying for playdates.
Is the melatonin recommended otc or the prescription one?
I adopted a dog that’s been thrown around the breeders grift and was horribly abused she still has separation anxiety with my wife barely lets me touch her and soo we been using l theinine and it’s been a game changer for sure she’s been able to not have panic attacks when she thinks she’s going to be picked up an handled the olly brand at Walmart was awesome I started taking them myself and do they work thanks for your info melatonin is next
Sadly in the UK CBD is very low ingredient
I’m interested in trying CBD… however from what I’ve read, CBD can be toxic for pets.. is this true?
I’ve also read that if the product contains THC, a dog may overdose on CBD. Is this true? And if it is, does your personal product contain THC?
@veterinarysecrets do you recommend melatonin for vet visit anxiety?
Your tips are so helpful and amazing i wish I could take my dog to visit your clinic. I would be your client forever. I love natropath stuff. And it makes life really easy knowing that I have medications natural that I can take as well as my dog and ill only get it if its recommended by a vet or professional.
I thank you so so very much. I will be a loyal channel subscriber forever. I am your biggest fan.
This channel saves lives. And makes a difference
Thank you
Thank you
please help, what about valerian capsules, howe much can i give a 10 pound 15-year-old shih-tzu
Do you know what homeopathic remedies could be used for a dog who paces around the house? He is old, losing sight & hearing & certain times of the day paces non stop. He lives with a single owner in a quiet home.
yay Dr. Jones, i finally found something that works!!! trazodone!!! i treid regular calming chews, valerian root oil, k9 melatonin, hemp calming chews, hemp oil, 1 at a time , then compounded several together and it didnt phase my pit girl Patchi age 13 at all. but i tried 50mg of trazodone and it worked!!!!!! yay she can relax!!! she is super hyper aroused at the slightest move of my hand or foot or when i turn my head. now, she is calmer and can relax! peace love & wellness brother Andrew 👍 🙏 ✌
people please stop buying expensive dogs. dogs from the pound should come first. there’s so much more joy in adopting.
can these be all given together ? have an appointment coming up and if he does not cooperate I have to reschedule
Question 🙋🏻♀️ For dogs with alopecia (unexplained, he also has anxiety) I thought the dose was 3mg for small dogs. Here you’re saying 1mg (mines 11 pds). Is 3mg daily safe? Or for daily should it be only be 1mg?
alot of melotonan is fake and doent do anything who knows witch are the good ones
My dog has dementia. During the day he’s so restless and anxious, he licks all day long and can’t lay down. I’m getting at a point of desperation. I’m giving him CBD but it doesn’t seem to help. It did help his arthritis. But he’s not calming down. The only place he’s calm is outside. I can’t be outside all day. It’s very cold here and I have work to do. I’m also giving him lemon balm (dried). Doesn’t do much either. I’ll try some of your other recommendations. If only he would lie down, then I can somewhat go back to a normal life. I’m gutted that my dog has cognitive dysfunction. Help….
Dog anxiety
Screw Pfizer They exploded my dear brothers heart after his horrid nagging wife relentlessly nagged him to do it or else
What’s a safe alternative anxiety for cats other than Feliway, or CBD OiL?
I REALLY love 4 & 5! I’ll be ordering some of your cbd! So, I wanted to add one to your list if you don’t mind! Arnica 30C! I have a 2yo maltipoo, Pippi. Last night I got a 3 month old cat who is EXTREMELY affectionate to people and my dogs, Pippi, and boxer, Duke. He likes to rub all over everyone – and the dogs lol Duke doesn’t mind the cat at all, but Pippi actually took off across the house yipping like she got hurt this morning. Not the case, she is just TERRIFIED of the cat. She started trembling and wanted to be held nonstop. I ordered some Arnica 30C a couple weeks ago for my boxer due to an ear hematoma, but I read it works well for anxiety too. I gave Pip 1 pellet – she was still trembling 30 min. later so I gave her another pellet. All trembles are COMPLETELY GONE. She is still leary of the cat, but not terrified. I just thought this could be helpful for other pet parents 😊 …and btw – I am so very thankful I found you! Your videos are IMMENSELY helpful – thank you so much for everything you help us with 🫠
When my Howard was young he had a bit of anxiety and the vet at the time would laugh and offer no ideas to try. A co-worker suggested trying a shirt that fit. I found a Dickie (half turtle neck shirt worn under sweaters and tops.) It worked wonderfully. He also was especially tenacious and rambunctious, in general it just calmed him down.
Do you know anything about EFT tapping for pets? Your suggestion of pressure the acupuncture point reminding me of the tapping. It could probably be applied to animals
Super dangerous and dog killer👎👎👎 Had I given this Anti Anxiety Drug on my beloved dog, it would have stopped his heart and killed him on my kitchen floor. This may sound psycho, but something told me *NOT* to administer a knock out ( I’m calling it ) drug, which his Vet issued me, to give him before a Vet visit, which he hates with a passion. So, call me stupid, but I took it instead. It put me down for half a day whereas I *could not walk*. I outweighed him by 3 1/2 times… he was 60 pounds. You might as well never give your dog anything to "calm " him down and also, you don’t know if the drug came from China, which is a death sentence for purity.
Today is 4th of July. My daughter’s Vet prescribed Trazodone. Is this a safe drug for her dog?
Nice explanation! Herbal medicine offers healing without the worry of side effects. Give DCM care packs for dogs by Planet Ayurveda a try!
I use Cbd but try not to over once a week. So I don’t want a tolerance or somewhat depend on it. But summer months of storms and fireworks can be rough
My dog used to be scared of thunderstorms. Now I give her CBD dog treats to counter that. #midnightcbd
Note to self: Melatonin at 3:28, Valerian Root at 4:08, Accupressure at 4:40.
I love him. ❤❤
Will try it for my dog.
Thank you so much for your knowledge & information. I love your channel & am always recommending. I’ve got a very stubborn 1.5yr old Dachshund. Who is too smart for his age. He will not take anything that doesn’t smell like his food. He has immense separation & travel anxiety & I’ve tried just about everything. Will not do meds even the vet recommended it & I refuse. Tried Valerian root or Melatonin tincture. He fights it off on the strongest doses! This can’t be good for his body. Benadryl & Gravol – Nope! What are your thoughts on Adaptil or Pet remedy diffusers? I have never seen any legitimate video other than testimonials. 🙏🏼🥺🫶🏼
I would like to give Valerian root to my dog but how do I measure 1/2 ml? That’s so little, I don’t even know.
Also, for how long can I give it to my dog and how many times a day?
Can I give my Pomeranian aconitum napellus for anxiety and seizures please hope you can reply
What do you think about solloquin?
How about depressed dogs? Would these help?
I Love You and All that You share! May God keep You and Yours Well and Safe! ❤
How can we get your CBD? Thanks
Do you have a video on calming drugs to help in nail trimming?
I just ordered the CBD. My dog has been driving me crazy lately.
I have an English Shepherd that was so anxious it bordered on hysteria. My vet told me she was the most anxious dog in his practice but refused to treat the anxiety. He referred me to a university vet school for medication at $300 a visit which I couldn’t afford. Somewhere I read "dog anxiety is caused by a lack of exercise" I made an effort to keep her active all day long and it worked! She is still a very active dog but no longer anxious.
