I feed half kibble and half raw food diet. Your videos have been extremely helpful…so far I have been dividing all the supplements in half which include fish oil, green lipped mussels, and even my vegetable purée content per day. I am assuming that the other half of these nutrients that are found in these supplements are in the kibble. Is it safe to assume the same for kelp. That if I were to divide the daily amount of kelp by half that would be sufficient to put in my raw diet

  14. @raymondvaughn9723 on December 17, 2024 at 4:46 pm

This is getting to the point where I believe this channel is trying more to promote anything inorder to make videos. I’m a plant and soil scientist so if you are mimicking a diet for days of yore, this all is not necessary. You will not up the animals quality of life. Why? Because I’ve done all this for humans and guess what happened when I stopped and just ate fresh food? Nothing

  15. @kevywilliams3304 on December 17, 2024 at 4:46 pm

Sorry to be pedantic but is there a weight measurement for soaked pumpkin seeds rather than teaspoons? My pup needs 1.1kg of a food a day which after a quick conversion comes to 14.5 teaspoons of pumpkin seeds. I realise I can weigh 14.5 teaspoons myself but are these level teaspoons or heaped teaspons and how big are these spoons? I have several teaspoons of various sizes so I would prefer a ratio like ‘100g of seeds to x amount of food’ if it is possible. Has anybody gone down that road and found a more accurate weight calculation? Sorry for fine tuning it so much but my pup is suffering from hair loss and I need to get the balance of the nutrients perfect to rule out a nutrient imbalance.

Help! My dog weighs about 65lbs. How much kelp should I give her?

  21. @kevywilliams3304 on December 17, 2024 at 4:52 pm

The broth is unnecessary. Milk and cheese are dairy… all have growth hormone .. dangerous .

Hey, Primal, always a pleasure to hear your thoughts…what do you think of Colostrum, Marine Phytoplankton, Krill Oil, Fido’s Flora and Pterostilbene, Resveratrol and Asxtaxanthin? These are the supplements I use on my 20-year old dog (in November)? I can’t really say if that’s responsible for her longer life, but all her siblings died at 13-14. Thoughts?

  32. @katelynwood2811 on December 17, 2024 at 5:08 pm

Hello, thank you for talking about this, I am learning so much from your channel. I have been feeding raw for awhile but am still experiencing some health issues with my cats. One of them has a flea allergy and is loosing lots of hair and has wounds from constant scratching. I was wondering what the powder you have used for fleas in other videos is and where to get it. Another cat has a persistent ear infection ( bacteria or yeast) I suspect this could be a gut issue or food allergy, do you have any suggestions for this? I was also considering just switching to whole prey ?

  33. @lisasdogwalking on December 17, 2024 at 5:08 pm

My dog is 5 lbs so her doseage would be 54.76. I have now kelp that says 1 scoop is 450mcg. Any suggestions on how to measure that out bc the scoop is already tiny.

  34. @灰原宝 on December 17, 2024 at 5:08 pm

Thank you very much for sharing!! It really helps a lot! The dosage of kelp is a bit tricky though. I am wondering if the iodine in meat (I know it’s a little) needs to be considered? Or the calculation is for the dosage of kelp? Thank you very much again!! ❤❤❤

  35. @Fxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx379 on December 17, 2024 at 5:10 pm

I need help! My dog needs 380-400mcg of iodine and the Now Kelp powder scoop is 90mg. If I convert that it doesnt make sense at all!! 😢

  36. @lylasadventures3930 on December 17, 2024 at 5:10 pm

I finally convinced my parents to let me get a kitten (when I get a job), I know I want to feed my kitten raw, but I’m worried about nutrient deficiencies. I really want to learn as much about raw feeding as I possibly can to provide the best life I can for my future kitty and prove to my parents that raw feeding isn’t as scary as they think. Are there any other supplements you recommend for cats? My list of supplements (so far) consists of Wild Salmon/Pollock Oil, Trace Mineral Drops, Kelp Powder, Taurine, Vitamin E and Nutritional Yeast. I have access to Salmon/Anchovies/Sardines for Vitamin D, Oysters for Zinc, Blue Lipped Mussels/Green Tripe for Manganese and Beef Liver/Eggs for Vitamin B.

  40. @sofiafeng7021 on December 17, 2024 at 5:14 pm

hello, I figured out how much mcg to feed my dog (280mcg), but I don’t know how to convert to tsp….the brand I am using is Lifeline Organic Ocean Kelp Dog and Cat Supplement, 1-1/2-Pound, and according to the instructions, I need to give my dog 1/2 tsp, but I feel like I am overdosing my dogs. Help please?

Do you have any spreadsheets with all the information in your videos? There’s just so much info and even though you do a great job explaining, i fear i will miss something.

  44. @andreedrolet6323 on December 17, 2024 at 5:22 pm

Hello! And thanks for all your videos!
Have you ever heard of hemp seed oil?
You can buy this super food in pet stores, very rich in vitamins and macro nutrients, balanced between omega 3 and 6, good for the brain…
I wonder if we can add this oil to homemaid cat food containing chicken, rather than fish oil… Is there unbalance?

  45. @Marfmellow88 on December 17, 2024 at 5:22 pm

Could you just give a dog multivitamin??

  46. @heathnorthpoke9825 on December 17, 2024 at 5:23 pm

Hello, How much Vitamin E liquid by solgar(mixed tocopherols) for a 4.5 raw fed cat, eats a small fish daily. It’s so hard to understand how much exactly

  47. @chuckfrost5624 on December 17, 2024 at 5:23 pm

Most of this fish has salt in it. Unsalted canned salmon is better. You can find this at whole foods and other stores. You don’t want added salt in their food.

  48. @lizhristova5 on December 17, 2024 at 5:24 pm

Hello, how would you calculate the wheat germ oil NOW brand for 50lbs dog for their vitamin E? It has 20mg of vitamin E
