Your dog foods are now owned and operated by the same people who operate your people food….is that good? Well to Go a step further, look at the unhealthy lifestyle of Americans and all the health issues younger kids are starting to have. Now go read all the story of long time pet owners now experiencing the same issues? All these suggestions are nice, I have actually had most of them. But when looking at the numbers, they still all fall short? Once I started seeing pharmaceutical commercials for pets like I see for people, and started to follow the money trail on not only who owns what brands, but also who sponsors what studies, I realized they are doing to our pets now what they have been doing to us as Americans for years, feeding us poisons. Good luck on your journeys, hopefully one day ethical beliefs and treatment will be stronger than profits and stock prices.

I don’t know how anyone affords these or other premium whole dog foods. For my 130lb akbash 2 years-old it takes 7 to 8 scoops. I’d go bankrupt. It would cost $170 every two weeks for the cheapest formula (Unkibble). Up double that for Sundays and RedBarn dehydrated.

I feed 50% kibble (rotating brands), 35% lightly cooked whole chicken, fish, and/or hamburger with its broth.

Every week I give these supplements two to three times weekly: green powder with probiotics and fish oil. Raw eggs with crushed shells.

Hi I have kind of an odd question. One of my dogs has gotten a blood-borne tick disease and they’re wanting to put him on antibiotics for a year. The first one was pills and they made his stomach sick. Anything he associated with that sickness he wouldn’t eat again, which made it very difficult to give it to him so I had to stop it ,now they’ve given me a liquid form syringe he’s afraid of the syringe. Is there any holistic remedy like essential oils milk thistle anything like that that can clean his blood?please

Lectins are a group of proteins that are found in peas and lentils. Dogs are unable to digest lectins, and it’s this indigestibility which can cause problems. Studies suggest Lectins can cause digestive distress and immune responses due to them damaging the gut wall and making it “leaky”.
Also all legumes block the function of tourine causing DCM

    2:20 Hi Rachel,

I love love love all of your content and videos. I noticed with this video you mentioned Spot and Tango utilize vitamin synthetic packs but I don’t think that’s correct. Can you dive deeper? According to the ingredient list, I didn’t see any vitamin synthetic packs. Thanks!

While I really enjoy your videos, I have found that you may state "Three great tips to crate train your puppy". However, you tend to not get to the tips. I watch to see the tips but you have so much you want to say that you don’t have time for the tips. It’s so frustrating. Keep up the good work and maybe work on actually giving the tips you say the video is about.

I thought Stella and chewy’s was freeze dried. Is that what they mean by high temperatures?

  19. @cherryny43 on December 17, 2024 at 4:45 pm

I know this is an older video but is it safe to feed freeze dried raw mixed with cooked or can it be fed as separate meals? Trying to cut down on cooking time and cost also. Thank you so much!

  20. @oBseSsIoNPC on December 17, 2024 at 4:46 pm

I can only recommend farmers markets and cooking fresh about 10kg at a time.
A good kibble is about $20-30 /kg which is A LOT.
Get yourself a small freezer, used as low as $50bucks, chest freezers are most efficient and cheap. Buy beef, pork, guts from a local butcher or farmers market. As well as pumpkin, kobocha, carrots, rice, yellow potatoes, sweet potato, corn, eggs and broccoli. Put it all through a coarse grinder and you end up with roughly $12/Kg (CAD) of PREMIUM food that has everything your dog needs. Boil bones and bone marrow and add that. COSTCO sells small plastic containers $25 for 200pcs you can portion UP TO two meals into and reuse quite a few times. Plus you can use the freezer for your own foods. Most kibble is crap or toooo expensive. Cheapest best food is home cooked. You can even eat it yourself in a pinch. Stores for 1year easy. Because it’s wet food, it’s already easy to put into a long or press into a slow feeder. Your dog will have great poop from all the fat and no cancer because of no added sugars or reaction to legumes.
