@RachelFusaro Can you do a review on Evermore Pet Dog Food they say is gently cooked and no synthetics. Would love your input.

Everything is so expensive lately. I have 5 Goldens and it gets pricey trying to give them all cooked meals from companies. I work a lot so no time for me to cook. Can you recommend a dog food or something that i can give them that’s more natural vs kibble. All my dogs are 80lbs. Or maybe half of cooked food and a very high quality kibble i just don’t know how much the portions per day etc. It’s frustrating trying to feed them good food. I was thinking of feeding raw but not sure if they will like it all of them are super picky.

PTL the truth πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œyou are spot on so so very different from the traditional vets who are all about chemicals they look at me like I’m nuts because I don’t do chemicals I use holistic herbs and they have been a life saver.

Bad, bad , bad , dogs need grains or they develop heart problems google [do dogs need grains] bible is the secret to eating right even a dog See Matt 15 : 27 [Niv] bible . Dog food is horrific, full of by products, chemicals . There was no dog food in a bag or can before the 60’s dogs ate what the people ate and they lived into their 20’s .

    What about farmina

  5. @PoohBearsHunny on August 4, 2025 at 4:24 pm

Hi Rachel, I came across your video on YouTube, how awful these dog food companies aren’t really helping with our pets health. I have two Rottweilers, and we’re slowly transitioning to a more cleaner diet. I had them on Diamond Naturals since being puppies, but now I’ve changed over to 4health kibble, and I’m adding meat and vegetables at this time. I’m wondering what your opinion is on 4health as a brand?

  6. @trishhunt4085 on August 4, 2025 at 4:25 pm

I have 4 dogs ranging in age from 16 months to 16 years. They all eat a raw diet that includes organic chicken eggs, organic quail eggs, whole herring, organic fruits and vegetables, organic yogurt, etc. It is becoming increasingly expensive and I can understand why people are feeding kibble. In my case, I am the only human in the house, which helps me to be able to afford a raw diet for my pack. No one is judging us on what we feed our pets, but rather how we treat our pets! Providing them with a safe, happy and loving home is the best thing we can do for them πŸ€—.

What’s wrong with skin and fat? Dogs need that too!

Any thoughts on Visionary Pets keto dog food, less than 1 gram carbs and cooked at 165 Fahrenheit?

  9. @robinbigelow4765 on August 4, 2025 at 4:27 pm

What do you recommend for my older 9 year old chi with heart murmur diet ? I started feeding my dogs raw year ago
I just not sure if that is good for him although I refuse to feed store bought

  10. @19Ter67 on August 4, 2025 at 4:28 pm

My dogs have been on a raw diet for 4 years now. They get a knee cap bone once a week for dental care. They have not had to have dental cleaning since making the change. And they’re wellness check ups have been great. Their Dr claps πŸ‘ his hands & said how much it makes his day to see completely healthy dogs come through.

Just bought a 4 year old spayed breeder. Totally unsocialized. Hated me. Bit me. No leash training. Fights the leash. Not potty trained. All lies by the breeder. Shall I take her back? NO. This is gonna take a while. Any tips from anyone would be appreciated. 🌺

I am about to adopt a labradoodle. He’ll be 9 weeks. I want to start a raw food diet. However, I don’t know how much to anticipate buying weekly. How to you recommend I purchase the food and how much should I be feeding a day?

    Thanks so much!!

  15. @SaharatOfficial on August 4, 2025 at 4:31 pm

I would love to feed raw. The only worry is I still don’t have enough knowledge to really go through with it. Buying 5lbs bags for $20 is steep and I just want to know I’m feeding my buddy a complete balanced meal.

  16. @danae_thewinnersproject on August 4, 2025 at 4:31 pm

Do you have any information on how to help allergies or hot spots or skin issues on paws ??? No vet can help or tell me what’s wrong but he’s in pain I need help!! Please

It’s good to hear what food is best for our dogs, but let’s be realistic and also talk about how MUCH $money$ from a small breed to large breed dog will cost?? Show the numbers!!

  19. @calistavalentin2269 on August 4, 2025 at 4:38 pm

I was feeding fresh homemade food to my 5 pups and senior dog. I found a vet approved recipe with turkey, broccoli, carrots, sweet potato, spinach, and coconut oil. They loved it, and i loved it for them. They were more active and had shiny coats. I started becoming worried that i wasn’t feeding them enough and if they were getting the proper nutrition. Also that I would make a big tray that would only last me 3 days so i had to constantly make more. I recently switched over to open farm, which is pricey as each bag is $78 for 22 pounds, and I need 3 of them to last the puppies a month. I really want to incorporate the food I used to make them, but how much would you recommend feeding them? Is open farm a good brand, in your opinion?

  20. @tuduleshiggins8832 on August 4, 2025 at 4:38 pm

RF, I have watched a few of your videos before I picked up my dog in December 2022. I have your videos to questionable, each dog is different, responds different. Kudos to for making a living off of videos that are so misleading, especially when you are not a vet. Any good dog trainer, does not use treats to reinforce results, without the treats how well would your dog respond to a command!

  21. @saahrakeolong-fx7hk on August 4, 2025 at 4:39 pm

My rotweiler was feed kibble most of his life and when I start feed him raw food from Bones and Co. His coat is more shiner and he has more energy. I just got a puppy and I am feeding him raw food even the goat milk from that brand. Thank you Rachel. If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t even know. I am a first time pet parent to this two dogs and I am so happy that I have some kind of knowledge from following all your videos. Thank you again for the things you do. Greatly appreciated it.

  22. @scottishgirl1100 on August 4, 2025 at 4:42 pm

It all depends on breed. I have mini schnauzers and I have to be super careful with fat content as they are predisposed to pancreatitis. I tried raw but they got quite sick due to the high fat content. So back on kibble they go but adding stuff in it.

  23. @laurenmichero9003 on August 4, 2025 at 4:43 pm

No offense but I don’t understand prefacing these videos which are clearly about why you shouldn’t feed kibble with a β€œwe aren’t anti-kibble” trigger warning. Actually Yes we can be anti-kibble if it’s the extruded cancer-fueling junk food that most companies are pushing on unsuspecting pet parents. If it’s the feed grade β€œfood” that they sneak in euthanized, diseased, decomposing animal carcasses in. We know euthanasia drugs are bad for Dogs because it’s what vets use to put them down, but we don’t know how much worse those toxic chemicals become when processed with high heat during the extrusion process. How much worse or more toxic do they become at that point? It’s frightening to think about. Heck yes we can proudly be against that recycled garbage they try to pass off as β€œfood”. It’s sickening and killing our beloved animals. You can still be in favor of the kibble-like dog food made for convenience like air dried or freeze dried or dehydrated dog food from companies that source humanely and/or are human grade. Raw or gently cooked food whether it’s homemade or commercial is likely better due to the moisture content but at least the freeze dried is better quality if pet parents prefer to prioritize convenience as one of their top criteria when feeding their pets. I proudly say I’m anti-kibble. If anyone takes issue with it then I think it’s better to just explain your position rather than preemptively placating potentially offended commenters with a broad statement that doesn’t educate or empower them to make better choices when feeding their pets. They’re much less likely to take issue with a confident well-informed individual’s position on traditional kibble once they realize how manipulative and deceptive the kibble/pet food industry is and what they’re really passing off as nutrition for our pets.
People need to wake up and get educated because I thought I was feeding my dog the β€œbest” kibble on the market, but how many pet parents are unwittingly feeding their animals food that is slowly poisoning them? Most pet parents unfortunately. I say save all of the damn dogs…which includes getting as many of them off of the kibble as possible.

The meat by products the fact it could be other dogs and cats made me want to throw up omg

  26. @theoilport3822 on August 4, 2025 at 4:49 pm

Do you have any comments on wsava approved foods? I see you wouldn’t choose to feed one on the list, royal canin for example, but all these vet nutritionists say it’s good. I’m torn

  27. @Grace_furbaby on August 4, 2025 at 4:50 pm

How to complete home-cooked meals for 8 months old puppy? Both salmon oil and cod oil? Or just one of the oil? And how often?

  31. @tengrachel9548 on August 4, 2025 at 4:56 pm

I feed all my 3 dogs BARF from they were 8 weeks old. They are super healthy. I know it is expensive and cost me some time. But I believe I will see the long term benefits in the future (less vet bill). It will be worth it!

  32. @donya1022 on August 4, 2025 at 4:59 pm

I have noticed since switching my cocker spaniel over to raw and steamed vegetables, he doesn’t drink nearly as much water as he used to. I believe it’s because he’s getting it from the new way of eating. His crusty nose cleared up to 85% in 1 1/2 months, now 6 months later his nose is 99% healed. The bloat was almost immediately gone.

  33. @MiaLucifer on August 4, 2025 at 4:59 pm

So what dog food do I get if I can’t feed raw

  34. @JanineMKartist on August 4, 2025 at 4:59 pm

With the cost of groceries though the roof freeze dried or raw is too expensive . For now I feed Origen large breed puppy and tip it with a Canadian steamed dog food that looks like a sausage as a topper . It’s beef and spinach . I’m looking to change kibble brands though because my pup is tired of the Origen . I’m reading ingredients to find something comparable S if dehydrated wasn’t so expensive I’d do thatS the Rollover brand sausage like steamed food would be expansive too if I fed that alone. So topper is the way we go.

  35. @LifeWithStephhh on August 4, 2025 at 5:01 pm

Can you do a video on how to prevent your dog from being overstimulated 😫

  36. @LifeOutsideTheBubble on August 4, 2025 at 5:03 pm

I wish these expertises would have more back up to their claims. I’m not saying they’re incorrect but i feel like a reference to why there would be disagreement would speak more to the expertise. What studies have shown that the raw food is superior or shown the opposite? Why are they reliable/unreliable? What of this is based on supposition because of dog anatomy and what is based on study? What is anecdotal? Expertise should be able to define these things.

I feel like this is more of a β€œdo this” and not as complete an education.

  38. @blackequine.official on August 4, 2025 at 5:05 pm

Feeding raw pays off, so thankful for all the knowledge you gave to me before I got my pup. We feed her raw, and she absolutely loves it. Her coat is so so shiny and is always getting compliments with how well she looks physically. Having a good diet is SO SO important!

    Hi Rachel,
Thank you for this amazing video! I have a question, my 9-month goldendoodle doesn’t like the kibble. Now, I cook his food once a week. But, my only concern is that I’m not sure if I’m giving him enough. I usually mix it with his kibble. It’s the only way he’ll eat. Since he’s allergic to chicken, I prefer salmon, turkey, and lean ground beef. I like to rotate the protein once a week. I add sweet potatoes, green beans, brown rice, peas, and carrots. I also give him 2 tbs daily of Greek yogurt. Am I doing ok, or should I add more things?

  43. @cathyfields582 on August 4, 2025 at 5:09 pm

  44. @yellowfin524 on August 4, 2025 at 5:10 pm

Can you substitute the sardines for freshly caught mackerel? I’m in Australia so it will be spotted mackerel not king mackerel. Great site with great info, thanks.

  45. @TheKak933 on August 4, 2025 at 5:12 pm

I learned to blend up steamed veggies …always gave them in big pieces. This is so helpful. My dog ate her first raw (mixed in with cooked to start yesterday) for dinner. She couldn’t wait for breakfast! Total win ❀

define "really high heats" as far as dry kibble goes.
